🌟 CUSTOM ORDERS 🌟
I get asked a lot if I can make a ring in your size or of I can make a piece of jewellery with your own special glass.
The answer is YES!
I am always happy to accept custom orders. I can either help you choose a piece of glass from my own wide collection or I am happy to potentially use your own special piece.
This gorgeous teal was chosen by the customer and made into a gorgeous bracelet.
Get in touch if you would like to discuss your special piece of jewellery.
💥 2022 💥
Christmas caught up with me and I didn't get to finish the "Twelve Finds of Chritmas" so thisovely pottery piece is number 11 and 12!
He's a big chunk, I wonder what he used to be?! Most sea pottery comes from broken plates, tablewear and tiles.
I got back to the bench today for the first time this year and I have lots of exciting plans to share with you over the next 12 months! Hopefully I'll also have lots of exciting beach finds!
🌲 NINTH FIND OF CHRITMAS 🌲
My ninth "find of Christmas" is another "Neiger Brothers" bead and the first I ever found!
It dates from the 1920's during the Egyptian Revival period after the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922.
Swipe along to see an example of how the bead would have looked. This set of beads also features the red scarab beetle I found a few weeks ago. I wonder if the two beads are from the same string of beads?!
See my Second Find of Christmas to learn more about the Neiger Brothers.
🌲 EIGHTH DAY OF CHRITMAS 🌲
My eighth "find of Christmas" is admittedly a repost but he was too perfect not to be included!
This tiny little bottle stopper was found back in April. It is a stunning shade of purple and it is so small and delicate! I imagine it would have been the stopper from from a ladies perfume bottle!
🌲 SEVENTH FIND OF CHRISTMAS 🌲
My seventh "find of Christmas" is this stunning little sea glass faceted gem which was found back in January.
It is the only one I have ever found! I don't know much about it but I assume it perhaps came from a piece of costume jewellery!
🌲 SIXTH FIND OF CHRITMAS 🌲
My sixth "find of Christmas" is this beautiful blue faceted bead 😍
Although I love my Neiger Brothers scarab bead the colour of this little guy is definitely somebody special!
🌲 FIFTH FIND OF CHRITMAS 🌲
My fifth "find of Christmas" is this piece of green patterned sea glass!
It probably dates from the 1930's and would have started life as decorative glass such as a ladies dressing table set or a vase!
I don't find much coloured patterned glass so this was a lucky find!
🌲FIFTH FIND OF CHRISTMAS 🌲 My fifth “find of Christmas” is this lovely piece of patterned green sea glass!
It is probably from about 1930 and would have been something decorative such as dressing table set or a vase!
🌲FOURTH FIND OF CHRISTMAS🌲 I don’t know much about this little red button other than I love it!
It is possibly Czech and probably dates from between 1930-1950!
🌲 SECONDS FIND OF CHRITMAS 🌲
My second "Find of Christmas" is this stunning art deco Czech glass bead.
I found this bead last week and at first thought it was plastic. However, after some further research I have identified it as a Neiger Brothers bead from the 1920's.
The Neiger Brothers, Max and Norbert, spent most of their lives in the Czech Town of Jablonec. They were famous for their Egyptian Revival costume jewellery which was made popular in the art deco period after the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922.
Tragically, the Neiger Brother's lost their lives during the Holocaust.
Scroll along to see how the necklace would have looked! There are still very faint flecks if green paint on the other side of my bead. I will treasure it!
🌲12 FINDS OF CHRITMAS🌲
The count down is officially on and over the next 12 days I'll be sharing my "12 Finds of Christmas"!
Day one is this amazing molten "Milk of Magnesia" binfure bottle from the 1930's! It combines my two favourite finds - bonfire glass and cobalt glass!
Bonfire glass is glass that has been heated so hot that it melts and loses its original shape.
In the past it was common for rubbish dumps to be set on fire. The heat from these fires would melt any glass that was contained in the dump. Bonfire glass usually has things melted into it such as ash, sand or debris. Anything that came into contact with the molten glass would be trapped inside!
🌟 GOLD 🌟
Tomorrow night at 8pm I will be launching the "Gold Collection".
These pieces are made from 14k Gold Filled and Stirling Silver. There will be lots to choose from including earings, bangles, bracelets, rings and necklaces!
The perfect gift for your favourite gold lover!
🧡💚❤ COLOURFUL COLLECTION ❤💚🧡
The collection is now live! I've just listed 10 new pendants and 6 rings sizes M to R.
There are some lovely rare colours including red, orange, yellow and cobalt which I've been saving!
I love these primary colours! I think the red is my favourite, which is yours?
🏖 BEACHCOMBING 🏖
Its been a few weeks since I've actually had time to get to the beach and go on a sea glass hunt!
We managed an hour on the beach today and found some lovely pinks and yellows! We also found a couple of bottles including this sadly broken "California Fig Syrup" bottle.
Around the end of the 19th century the fig was promoted as an elixir promising great healing power as a result of its mildly laxative effect.
One of the most notable companies was the California Fig Syrup Co of San Francisco.
Hopefully the original owner felt better after a swig of their fig syrup!
❤ NEW PIECES ❤
Tonights launch will be these stunning Russian sea glass pieces! There will be 10 rings and 5 pendants available tonight at 8pm!
These rare sea glass pieces come from Ussuri Bay near Vladivostok in Russia.
During the soviet era it was used as a dumping ground by a local factory. It became so polluted authorities banned access.
The years of tumbling by the sea turned the broken glass and pottery into smooth and frosted gems!

❤️ CUSTOM ORDERS❤️ This was such a fun price to make! The client wanted to replace a much loved ring which his wife had sadly lost. He dropped off a box of their wedding China and one we had decided on the shape I hand carved the love heart and set in Stirling silver!
Such a beautiful sentiments piece! There is still time to have your own custom orders made in time for Christmas! Get in touch to discuss ideas!
💥 Shop Update 💥
This gorgeous statement green is available in my most recent shop update!
There are new bangles, pendant and rings to chose from!
I am planning for another shop update early November and early December to make sure you have your Christmas gifts in plenty of time!
Such in interesting beach comb on Portobello beach tonight! Portobello was home to Buchan’s Pottery from 1869-1972. These is an abundance of stone wear and I found some interesting vulcanite stoppers from local Edinburgh ginger beer producers.
I love to find these pieces which give a little insight into what life was like in the past!
⭐️MARKET UPDATES⭐️
Lovely little haul from my most recent sea glass haul! Shame the bottle stopper was broken but it the only one I’ve ever found on this beach! Which is your favourite colour? My next market will be on Sunday from 10am-5pm! Hope to see you there!
