Everyone around me talks about how bad sugar is for you. I used to share my positive experience with Dr Peat's ideas (eating high carbs, minimizing PUFA, focusing on metabolism).

Moderate sugar intake may support proper thyroid function, as glucose is essential for converting inactive thyroid hormone (T4) into active thyroid hormone (T3), crucial for maintaining metabolism and energy levels.
The key takeaway from Dr. Ray Peat's research is that sugar can be a valuable ally in our pursuit of optimal health, provided it is consumed in moderation and in consideration of individual needs.

My journey has led me to contemplate a profound question during my morning’s journaling session: what now?
As humans, we often fall into the trap of embracing familiar routines, clinging to old habits, and pursuing familiar goals, finding comfort in our current state.
I've come to realize that my true potential emerges when I embrace discomfort and navigate through challenging situations. Many achievers can relate to this sentiment.
With this in mind, I had to dig deep and figure out what goals to set for myself in the next phase of my fitness career. I delved deep asking myself what would truly matter not just in the next 5, 10, or 20 years, but even beyond my lifetime. What legacy do I want to leave behind?
And then it became clear – something I had always known deep down. The moments when others approached me to express how much I've positively impacted their fitness journeys reminded me of my mission.
My mission is to learn true selflessness and help others find joy and discover their hidden potential through coaching them to see the versions of themselves they once believed were beyond reach.
'It is my dream to help 1,000,000 men unlock the best versions of themselves through fitness and self-improvement.' InshAllah.

On the surface, the mainstream fitness industry, by and large, promotes a superficial, sensual picture of success. We see images of chiselled abs, bikini bodies and proud smiles framing flexed muscles in gym selfies and advertisements. We are told that this brand of fitness will make us happier, more productive and improve our quality of life.
But beneath the surface, a darker reality lurks.
Average parents, teenagers and young adults struggle to find themselves in a fitness culture of self-objectification. Despite our hard work, we grow impatient at our stubborn layers of fat and wonder why our fitness role models seemingly don’t have any.
Instead of increased productivity and energy, we find body image issues and wounded self-esteem. Many of us jump into extreme diets or fitness routines, chasing an impossible body image standard, only to eventually burn out and quit.

Just like with anything in life, it's fairly easy to start but difficult to maintain. One thing I learned from experience is that consistent actions create consistent results. So, if you’re having trouble beginning a fitness routine or following through a diet plan, you’re not alone. Nearly all of us struggle to get out of the sedentary rut, despite our best intentions.
Here I've put together my top 5 TIPS on how you can remain consistent on your fitness journey.
1. Ditch the 'all or nothing' attitude - A little exercise is better than nothing. You don't have to force yourself into monotonous or painful activities you hate. In fact, adding just modest amounts of physical activity to your weekly routine can have a profound effect on your overall fitness journey.
2. Be kind to yourself and listen to your body - Don’t beat yourself up about your body, your current fitness level, or your supposed lack of willpower. All that will do is demotivate you. Instead, look at your past mistakes and unhealthy choices as opportunities to learn and grow.
3. Check your expectations - You didn’t get out of shape overnight, and you’re not going to instantly transform your body either. Expecting too much, too soon only leads to frustration and failure.
4. Schedule and plan - If you’re having trouble fitting exercise into your schedule, consider it an important appointment with yourself and mark it on your daily agenda.
5. Hold yourself accountable - If you’ve got a workout partner waiting, you’re less likely to skip out. Or ask a friend or family member to check in on your progress. Announcing your goals to your social group (either online or in-person) can also help keep you on track.
