Autumn sun graced us on Saturday morning in Florencecourt. Here are a few pics. Rose Cottage looked particularly beautiful. The roses even in their letting go smelled divine.

Dear Friends of Mindful Walking
I have just realised that the Aisling Centre Dawn Trek is scheduled for tomorrow morning and I know many of you, like myself, wish to participate and support the Centre. So I am rearranging tomorrow morning’s Mindful Walk at Claddagh Glen to Saturday 30th September at 10 am as usual.
See you on the board walk!

Some pics from the Claddagh Glen last Saturday morning, on our monthly Walking The Geopark Mindfully. We were nourished by nature and a few lines from Mary Oliver’s poem Wild Geese -
We do not have to be good …
You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves…
… the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting over and over announcing your place in the family of things.
Our next walk is on Saturday 9th September 10 to 12 noon at the Claddagh Glen. We will have a chat at the end about how we integrate Mindfulness into our lives. Bring a hot drink and snack.
This is a no charge event, let me know you are coming.
The Claddagh River last Saturday morning! Mindfulness invites us into the senses so that we are really present and so we experience life more deeply. So we see, hear, feel, taste and smell more on a simple walk in the Claddagh Glen. Join us on our next Walking the Geopark Mindfully on Saturday 12th August from 10 to 12 at the Claddagh Glen. Bring a hot drink and snack - we’ll have a chat also.
Let me know you are coming.
This is a no charge event.
I offer these walks because I love Mindfulness and I love Nature, the more we experience the connection between Nature and ourselves, we begin to understand that there is no separation - we are ONE.
Saturday July 29th from 10am until 12 noon is the date and time for the next Walking The Geopark Mindfully. We’ll meet at the Cladagh Glen. Connecting with nature is one of the most nourishing things we can do for ourselves, Mindfulness offers us practical help to connection. We’ll have a chat towards the end of the walk so bring a hot drink and snack.
This is a no charge event. Let me know you are coming.

We had another wonderful time in Florencecourt Estate last Saturday morning. When was the last time you sat in a meadow, listening, looking, smelling, touching and even tasting nature close up - that is just what we did! Have a look at the pics.
Our next Walking the Geopark Mindfully event will be on Saturday 29th July from 10 am to noon. If the Claddagh Glen is open we will go there but I’ll let you know closer to the time.
We always take some time at the end for a chat so bring along a little flask and a snack.
And don’t forget to let me know you are coming.
This is a no charge event.
Dear Friends
We had a wonderful quiet time on the morning of the 27th May in the walled garden at Florencecourt. This poem
nourished our minds
To Be Great, Be Whole …by F Pessoa
To be great, be whole: don’t exaggerate
Or leave out any part of you.
Be complete in each thing.
Put all you are
Into the least of your acts.
So too in each lake, with its lofty life,
The whole moon shines.
Our next Walking the Geopark MINDFULLY takes place on Saturday 24th June at 10 am to 12 noon at Florencecourt National Trust. We will meet in the carpark close to the walled garden.

Dear Friends
Walking the Geopark Mindfully.
Even though Cladagh Glen was closed Saturday morning we relocated to Florencecourt walled garden and had a beautiful morning there. You might like to read Leaf Time a poem by Hugh O’Donnell, a fitting companion to the beauty of trees at present.

Dear Friends
I need to cancel our Saturday morning event at Cladagh Glen, Walking the Geopark Mindfully. I went a little footless on ice this morning and have a fracture of the wrist. However I’d like to propose that each of us takes time on Saturday morning in our own place - walking mindfully, pausing often, being attentive to what arises within and allowing nature to share her wisdom.
I share below the poem ‘It Is Enough’, which I have prepared for us. After your home based walk you might consider sharing with a friend ”what I noticed was …….”
I’ll be in touch re a February date. Many thanks for your understanding. Mary
It Is Enough. Danna Faulds
It is enough right now
to taste one moment of
peace. Of course I want
more, but at least the
door is open.
It is enough to draw a
conscious breath and
let my hands relax,
fingers releasing their
tight grasp on things
outside my control.
It is enough to shed a
layer of stress as if
taking off a jacket or a
pair of too tight shoes.
Ease of being has to
start somewhere.
This breath is my
first step.
