This Friday, after an incredible 43 years at Church Walk Vets, Judith will be hanging up her greens for the last time to start her well deserved retirement!
โค๏ธ I think I speak for us all when I say she will be hugely missed by the team, our clients and our patients.
๐ฐ โ๏ธ So on her last day, we thought it would be nice to put an open invitation to all clients past and present, to come and celebrate with a coffee & cake.
At Ulverston, we will be fully stocked with cakes, tea and coffee between 9am and 5pm for anyone that would like to come and celebrate with Judith and wish her a happy retirement.
*Judith has been hidden from this post so that it is a surprise for her* ๐

Rabbit awareness week - neutering ๐ฐ
Neutering means removing the reproductive organs; this is
either the ovaries in females (known as spaying) or the
testicles in males (known as castration). Neutering is a
routine procedure that does not require overnight
hospitalisation, with an average recovery time of 5-10 days.
Find out more about the benefits and risks of netuering your
rabbit here: vetcollection.co.uk/health/should-i-neuter-myrabbit

Dentals ๐ฆท
Swipe to see a before and after of Will's teeth following his scale and polish. Did you know that 85% of cats and 80% of dogs have some form of dental disease from the
age of 3 ๐ฑ
Here are three key things you can do as an owner to prevent it:
โข Regular tooth brushing
โข Feeding a dental diet
โข Dental cleaning at your vets (Fixed price dentals are one of the benefits included
when you are a member of The Healthy Pet Club).
Please contact the surgery if you would like to discuss the HPC further
A very proud and surreal moment for us.
At 3pm today, after 30 years, our Crellin Street practice will be closing for the last time to enable us to prepare for our very exciting relocation to Hollywood Park ๐๐ฆ ๐
๐คฉโค๏ธ
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank every single client that has trusted us with their pets at Crellin Street over the last 30 years.
(To confirm, our Ulverston site is not closing, it is just our Barrow site relocating to Hollywood Park).
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday this week, our Barrow phone line will be diverted to our Ulverston site. Any Barrow patients that require treatment will be directed there for their appointments. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, however as stated above, this is to enable us to move (which is no small job, thatโs for sure)!
Thanks again and we hope to see you all very soon.
If you would like to see the new site, we are having an open day, Saturday 22nd June ๐คฉ
Diabetes Awareness Week ๐ฉบ
Today marks the start of Diabetes Awareness Week - did you know your furry friends can get diabetes too?
Diabetes causes levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood to be persistently high. Normally when blood glucose levels increase, the pancreas releases a hormone called insulin which adds in a number of ways to lower the blood glucose and prevent it from getting too high.
