We’ve had a black, neutered male cat brought into the Ulverston branch today, with no microchip. Very slim and no tail.

Sooty has been missing from North Lonsdale Terrace, Ulverston, since Friday night. The owner has asked if people in the area could please check in their sheds as he may be hiding.
Sooty is a black, short haired, neutered male and is microchipped.

This Friday, after an incredible 43 years at Church Walk Vets, Judith will be hanging up her greens for the last time to start her well deserved retirement!

❤️ I think I speak for us all when I say she will be hugely missed by the team, our clients and our patients.

🍰 ☕️ So on her last day, we thought it would be nice to put an open invitation to all clients past and present, to come and celebrate with a coffee & cake.

At Ulverston, we will be fully stocked with cakes, tea and coffee between 9am and 5pm for anyone that would like to come and celebrate with Judith and wish her a happy retirement.

(To confirm, our Ulverston site is not closing, it is just our Barrow site relocating to Hollywood Park).

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday this week, our Barrow phone line will be diverted to our Ulverston site. Any Barrow patients that require treatment will be directed there for their appointments. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, however as stated above, this is to enable us to move (which is no small job, that’s for sure)!

Diabetes Awareness Week 🩺

Today marks the start of Diabetes Awareness Week - did you know your furry friends can get diabetes too?

Diabetes causes levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood to be persistently high. Normally when blood glucose levels increase, the pancreas releases a hormone called insulin which adds in a number of ways to lower the blood glucose and prevent it from getting too high.
