Lichfield Family Hub
We've created a hub of help for families in Lichfield - to help you keep your family happy, healthy and safe.
We can answer your questions, help you find support and share ideas for coping with life in lockdown.
While the school holidays are a lovely time to spend with your children, sometimes the extra pressure of juggling work, childcare and home life, along with the added financial pressures of activities, day trips, childcare and meals can all have a negative impact on your relationship and your children’s wellbeing.
If you feel that you are experiencing frequent conflict in your relationship which you are struggling to resolve, we can help. Using the One plus One digital support package you can work through your troubles and learn to communicate better. You can access them here Parent resource sign up - https://www.oneplusone.org.uk/.
After using the package, other parents shared their thoughts “We now know how to manage “our” stress and how to argue helpfully”

We are hosting some engagement work for NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent on the future of maternity services and want to get in touch with women who had used the services in the last three years.
The two freestanding midwifery birthing units (FMBUs) at County Hospital, Stafford, and Samuel Johnson Community Hospital, Lichfield are currently temporarily closed, to ensure safe staffing at the consultant-led and midwife-led units at Royal Stoke University Hospital and Queen’s Hospital, Burton.
Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICB is currently undertaking a service change programme in relation to the two units and would like to invite you to an event to explain the process for change that we are following and the proposals we have considered for the future of the FMBUs.
No decisions have yet been made and we will continue to update stakeholders and patients about the programme.
The event is an online event being held on Wednesday 6 December 2023 at 2pm. To register for the event please use this form:
We are encouraging local communities to have their say on our future priorities.
The consultation will help contribute to an extended version of the Service’s Safety Plan, which is a document all fire and rescue services are required to produce.
The plan details the priorities we will adopt and the approach we will take to ensure the protection of local communities, the reduction of risk and the commitment to firefighter safety.
Those who complete this short survey (maximum of 10 minutes) will also be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher: https://orlo.uk/n6w22
With just around the corner, we wanted to remind you of the dangers of playing with fireworks.
Fireworks are dangerous and cause serious injuries and accidents, so it’s important to have conversations with children and young people about the risks they pose.

Unpaid carers are invited to get involved in work to refresh the all-age carers strategy 2024 - 2029, which Staffordshire County Council and the Integrated Care Board are carrying out.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be engaging with young carers and adult carers about how their caring role affects them and what they think our priorities should be for the next five years. We will use the feedback carers give us to set the priorities and key actions in the new strategy.
Carers can get involved in a number of ways:
• Young carers aged under 18 can get involved though young carer groups run by the Staffordshire Together for Carers Service. If a young carer isn’t already part of a young carers group, they can call 0300 303 0621 or email [email protected].
• Adult carers can complete an online survey: Carers Strategy Survey | Let's Talk Staffordshire.
• We’ll also be talking to adult carers directly in focus groups
• Carers can work with us to produce measurable outcomes for the new priorities (work to take place in autumn.)
To get a paper copy of the adult carers survey, get involved in a focus group for adult carers or help us produce measurable outcomes please email us at [email protected] or call 01785 278 228 or 01785 895 594.
Carers can feedback to us up to 18 September.
Carers Strategy Survey If you are an unpaid adult carer, we'd like you to tell us more about yourself and what support you need to live a happier, healthier and more independent life whilst continuing to care for your loved ones.
Together with children have created an activity pack to support children moving from primary to secondary school. It has questions to help children think about things they might want to find out about their new school, things they like doing and want to continue doing, who they can go to for support and their goals for the future. There is also some top tips from other children who’ve already moved from primary to secondary school.
