Iโm on my way!!! Canโt wait for an incredible evening celebrating the outstanding achievements of so many of our cherished LGBTQIA+ community! ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ ๐
Yesterday, Southport and indeed the whole country was rocked by an unimaginable tragedy.
A 17 year old entered a summer holiday childrenโs dance and yoga club and started to attack. Three beautiful young lives, Bebe, Alice, and Elsie, were taken too soon, and many more are still fighting for their lives. My heart completely goes out to the families of those involved. ๐
In the wake of such a horrific event, many parents are struggling with how to approach conversations and questions from their children.
My 7 year old has been asking questions and Iโve struggled to know the right things to say.
It's natural to feel overwhelmed and unsure. Place2Be offers really effective guidance on how to navigate these difficult discussions, providing support and reassurance during these horrific times.
Remember, itโs okay to not have all the answers. Whatโs most important is to create a safe space for your children to express their feelings and fears.
Please read the article below for some further guidance. Written by Place2Be and reported by Liverpool Echo.
Stay strong, stay compassionate, and hold your loved ones a little tighter tonight. ๐โค๏ธ

LGBTQIA+ Wellbeing in the City Come join us for an evening of LGBTQIA+ Wellbeing, where we'll have resources, and community support to help you thrive!
Just had to share this snippet from choir rehearsal on Monday night created by the brilliant team at amasing.
It's only our second get together, and I'm made up with how harmonious we sound already! ๐
Being part of a choir isn't just about the music, it's also about enhancing our mental wellbeing too. ๐ง
For starters, singing is a natural stress reliever, lowering levels of cortisol in our bodies. Singing together brings a sense of community and belonging, reducing feelings of isolation. It's also been found to improve our mood, thanks to the release of endorphins, the body's feel good chemicals.
All these benefits simply from belting out some classics!
All are welcome! Whether you're a seasoned singer or a beginner. So maybe see some of you there? ๐ค
I wanted to share my massive congratulations to these remarkable individuals! ๐ Your dedication and passion is truly inspiring, and I'm filled with excitement for the journey you have ahead. Your willingness to just get on and do it; see a need and make a difference, is just one of the reasons why youโre going to change so many lives for the better.๐
Being selected as your partner in delivering mental health and su***de prevention training is a privilege that I canโt wait to get started with. Thank you! ๐ฃ๏ธ
A huge round of applause for your achievements and the impactful work we're about to do. ๐ Together, we're not just aiming for change; we're setting the groundwork for a legacy of resilience and wellbeing. ๐ฅณ

Today is Day! This special day, championed by Mental Health First Aid Englandยฎ promotes the importance of bringing your entire self to the workplace.
Hereโs why matters to me:
- I value being part of a something where my passion for mental health is the essence of my work. It allows me to share my personal story and drive behind my dedication to su***de prevention and mental health awareness, creating a space where vulnerability is a strength.
- My ability to work flexibly shows the understanding that we all have lives beyond our jobs. Whether itโs adjusting things to be able to deliver training sessions or being able to watch that assembly in school, or taking a moment for self-care, I know that my wellbeing is a priority.
- The ability to be my authentic self, expressing my thoughts, beliefs, and even my quirks, without fear of judgment, is liberating. Whether it's sharing my latest insights on mental health trends or discussing strategies for su***de prevention, I know that my contributions are valued and make a real impact.
I understand and appreciate my privilege in being able to show up as my whole self at work. I know that not everyone has this opportunity. That's why I am dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating spaces where everyone can thrive, feel safe, and be their true selves.
Join me in celebrating Day and take a step towards creating a more inclusive, understanding, and compassionate workplace.
