About a year & a half ago I had my first enquiry for wedding flowers. Rachel & I had a lovely zoom chat and it was really lovely getting to know her and hear about her lovely new hubby, Matt. At first, the thought of committing to a huge responsibility scared the **** out of me. I don’t particularly have much confidence in myself but I knew that if I didn’t try, it would of scared me even more, not knowing. I’m really pleased to show you end results and the compliments that followed were mind blowing! Thank you Rachel and thank you for your clear & efficient organisation, your incredible drawings (which I still believe will go for thousands in auction lol) and just for being so understanding throughout the journey. The review blew me away and I am so pleased you both had the most amazing day! Thank you to those who came along and helped me out aka my family, my dad can take full responsibility for the placing the eucalyptus on each napkin (He’s left business cards for anyone that needs table decorations for future weddings!), my mum did all the ribbons so beautifully everywhere! A dear friend of mine who nothing about floristry came to rescue Tuesday to condition my flowers & my mother in law! My team of florists, Tracey from Flowervision, and Lindy and even the lovely cake man beautifully decorated the cake! Thank you for all your help and encouragement! I couldn’t have done it without you all! Xx

Omg... I literally can’t tell you where August went!

I like to support local businesses and create Arrangements using seasonal British flowers from local growers. Going to see what they grow is amazing and everyday I’m still learning the names of new flowers that I may not have encountered!

Gosh wow guys it’s been a while!! I thought I’d pop on to say Hi and happy Thursday!

I’m really lucky to have been so busy over the last couple of months. Orders are flying in and it’s all thanks to you guys! I’ve been listening to peoples feedback, advice and hopefully the efforts are paying off!

However I must be honest with you guys!! Things have been really tough recently, the busyness of my work whilst holding down another job, flower training where I can and I’m even managing to fit in the occasional tears on the fast increased rates of inflations! NOT FUN!

The last couple of months have been a huge learning curve for me and I’m coming to accept no matter how you run your business, you do face challenges and experience the lows, but ultimately the highs will always shine!

When starting up my business, It was always a priority to create an eco friendly ethos (where possible) by reducing the carbon footprint and use of plastic packaging.

It was also important for me to support local businesses and build inter personal relations with local growers. They really have a great understanding of flowers and I’ve just learnt so much from them! And my are they talented!

Well what a week that was!

Trying to organise two busy schedules (me and my husbands) with only one working car and it seems its a farewell to my DS3!
An outrageous amount of rain, a mind blowing opportunity to play cricket at Lords and me being an absolute nutter and damaging one of Mike’s gym mirrors by bowling a cricket ball at it! I’m sorry! ❤️🥰
I also had to cover a friend with his gardening clients whilst away on holiday. All was going so well until the mower blew up on me 😂

I’ve not had much opportunity to focus on my business this week but I was very fortunate to meet with Pipley Flowers yesterday to further develop my knowledge, creativity and understanding of wedding flower bouquets. I’m was very happy with the end result!

I met Liz back in the October and our 1-2-1 had been put on hold for quite some time but I think it actually came at the right time 😂 thank you very much and it was really fun to catch up and chat all flowery!

I’ve been very lucky to have encountered some incredible successful business ladies through my journey so I just want to say thank you to all of you! Its been a fun adventure so far!

Lillies are absolutely beautiful and are a
popular choice for the home and the garden.

However it’s important to share and inform that lillies are extremely poisonous to cats. If your cat/s eats any part of the Lily plant, they are at risk of kidney failure and I would advise seeing a vet immediately. Unfortunately left untreated, lily poisoning is fatal.

When I have flowers enquiries, I only use lillies if they are a special request. I do ensure to ask my clientele if they have any cats in the home and to make them aware of the risk. I do it because I care (not to put you off!) and having two furry babies of my own, I wouldn’t know how I would cope if this happened to them. I’m also trying to avoid you guys a heavy bill from the vets too!

Please help by sharing this post to spread the word. I’ve noticed in supermarkets that there is no warning of this nor is it written on the labels regarding the risk of certain flowers to our fury friends!

It’s Friday already!
After having an busy couple of weeks, I’ve decided to take today off to reflect and actually applaud myself. This is something I don’t usually do and actually it’s something I’m not good at!
It’s so easy to reminisce the COUNTLESS mistakes I have made since going self employed or remembering the times of making myself look like a tit in front of people.
But then I have to remember I’ve only been going for a year and actually it’s time to focus on what I have achieved and how I can continue to develop a business that reflects my personality and beliefs.
Thanks to all the people and my loving husband (for putting up with a lot) for your incredible support and encouragement. It really has got me through my first year of being a business owner!

Wow! All sold but one! Ready to delivered to their homes for people to enjoy and then it’s rugby time for me... and then wine. Yes it’s needed!

Unfortunately our shoot did not go ahead as planned due to the weather.

I’m obviously gutted but I’m pleased to say it has been re arranged for May time!

It’s actually enabled me to have a different outlook on what I want to achieve with this particular shoot and I’m so pleased I have the support of my photographer to be on board with my decision.

I’m a big believer in great things always comes to those who wait.
