What a great day at High Peak Lodge Care Home remembering D-day. The amazing Jonny Naunton came to sing for our ladies and gentlemen, our manager brought in her father in laws medal, The Legion dĥonneur, the highest decoration in France, which was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802, such a privilege to see it. Thank you to all who served and continue to do so.

As we prepare for this years summer fayre we are asking friends and family for donations for our Raffles & Tombola, you can donate anything you like we would appreciate it very much, our aim this year is to raise funds for a new BBQ and to update our residents Bar in the garden so anything would he greatly appreciated, thank you ❤️

Lovely afternoon at high peak lodge, our ladies and gentlemen enjoyed dominoes and music, thank you to Cara for organising a day of activities everyone enjoyed it very much 🥰

When the Easter Bunny visits High Peak Lodge Care Home aka Tammy our activities coordinator, she goes above and beyond to ensure our residents have an amazing day, thank you to Jonny Norton for this afternoons entertainment. Those smiles are precious.

Today we have had the pleasure of the children from Bedford Hall Methodist Primary School they came to sing for our ladies and gentlemen, the children made lovely cards for everyone and gave them all flowers, we all enjoyed it very much, thank you so much 🥰

Our bakers have enjoyed making some Cadburys rice crispy cakes today 🍰

Easter Raffle £1 per strip, also Easter Sunday we invite family and friends to join us for our annual Easter celebrations, the day will include lots of activities including family Bingo, live entertainment and our Easter raffle draw, from 13.30 onwards we will look forward to seeing you all there 🐣

May the luck of the Irish be with you today and always.

Residents and staff today have been working on a mini project, our dignity and values tree, everyone was very happy with the end results we all love it 🥰

We have enjoyed an afternoon of arts and crafts today, very relaxing and therapeutic along with good chats and lovely tea and biscuits enjoyed by all. 🥰

Our ladies enjoyed a full pamper today in our in-house salon, nails and hair, we love making our ladies look and feel their best 💕

Today we have been preparing our Easter bonnets for our Easter display next month, we have had lots of fun singing and crafting away, there’s plenty more to come, card making and decoration making keeping us busy to prepare for our next event.

It has been a very enjoyable afternoon for all! 🐣

Yesterday High Peak Lodge Care Home visited Friends of Etherstone day centre to deliver treats for our ! ❤️

They do amazing work providing our local community in an inclusive environment for older people living with dementia.

Today we have had a pamper day for the ladies while they prepare for their hair done tomorrow from our hairdresser, nice relaxing pamper afternoon with tea and biscuits and a good chat. 💅

Yesterday some of our staff took part in a cake baking competition for Valentine’s Day, some amazing cakes were created, our residents and family picked the winner and Tammy our activity coordinator came 1st, thank you all for taking part and coming to our annual valentines party 🎉

Each of our residents received a single red rose from our artist Johnny Norton what a lovely gesture
