If you use an accounting software such as its so important that you are regularly checking your Bank Balances that are automatically connected to Xero are correct.

Occasionally (not often, but it can happen) softwares have little hic-cups causing transactions to go walkabouts. Checking the balances match on a regular basis saves the agg of hunting for a difference 10 months down the line!

We offer tailored to you training on Xero, so that you can keep your books up to date, as well as understand what they mean!

We have 3️⃣ types of training available to be customised;

1️⃣ Online presentation style training, 1:1 via zoom/video call. We'll spend 1-1.5 hours with you on a call, going through the general processes of Xero, as well as running through any functions Xero provides that would benefit your business. We'll also show you how to run basic business reports to review your businesses performance on a periodic basis.

2️⃣ Face to face, walk through style training, 1:1 in your office, or mine, your preference! 2 hours on site training for all of the above, with the options to pull specific examples from your business, as well as work on your system together to ensure you're confident with what you've learned.

3️⃣ DIY bookkeeper training. This type of training is a mixture of the above, with the added benefit of 1 months support from the bespoke bookkeepers, any questions no matter how small will be received and answered, with an informative explanation, and where appropriate a how to guide.

If you have employees on Zero Hour Contracts, are you correctly calculating their holiday allowance?

You could be paying your employees for holiday they're not entitled to, or you could be running up a holiday bill that'll give you a bit of a shock at the end of the year!

⭐ I have a client who uses zero hours contracts, one of her employees had been taking what we deemed to be an excessive amount of holiday, and prior to us discussing it, my client hadn't given holiday calculation a second thought. It transpired that the employee was actually claiming holiday before she accrued it. Which put the company at risk of spending more than necessary.

⭐ we reviewed the employees hours since starting at the company, along with any holiday taken, and her contract to create a custom tracker for both the employee and my client to use to track holiday.

⭐ this created more transparency between them. It also allowed the employee to be Aware of the holiday hours she'd accrued to plan her personal finances, as any holiday taken over the accrued value is not payable.

⭐ My client also had a much better view on payroll figures, and those figures line up much better with the amount of time employees are actually at work!

⭐ this is a much cleaner, more robust process that will take a very small amount of time monthly to keep up to date!
