WE ARE HANGING UP OUR TAPE MEASURES AND CLOSING
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we have to inform you of our decision to hang up our tape measures and retire from retailing.
After long and protracted negotiations regarding renewing our lease with our new Landlord it has now become apparent that they have been in negotiations with a ‘large supermarket chain’ to redevelop the site where our shop is based.
The landlord has now served us a 'Notice to Vacate' and, as we have been unable to secure other suitable premises locally, we have now decided that this is the opportune time to close the business and retire.
For the next few months we will continue to trade as normal. We will only take new orders on dresses that are available from our designer's stock or can made and delivered to us before November so we can ensure a smooth winding down and no bride will be disappointed.
We will be closing our doors and vacating the premises at the end of December.
All our 2020 and 2021 Brides have been informed and for any brides with dresses that require fittings and alterations these will continue to be carried out by our amazing seamstress at her own studio in Chelmsford.
The decision to close the business after 28 years has been a difficult one but we’ve had a wonderful journey since setting up our ‘small business’ in 1991 doing all the things we love and we were so lucky to have stocked some of the best Bridalwear Designers and dressed thousands of lovely brides over the years.
We have amazing memories of all our brides and their families and we want to thank you all for your support.
