Let’s talk about our Disability Pride Flag!

To wrap around Disability Pride Month which is coming soon to an end, we wanted to talk about the colours of our flag! 💕

The green stripe represents sensory disabilities 💚
The blue stripe: emotional and psychiatric disabilities 💙
The white stripe: non-visible and undiagnosed disabilities 🤍
The yellow stripe: neurodiversity 💛
The red stripe: physical disabilities ❤️

The black background behind the stripes is there to represent the ableism and abuse we have to face as a community and the violence and deaths that come from it.

We are here, we are proud and we are not the problem! ✊

As disabled women, we face additional layers of discrimination because of our disabilities and genders. We are more likely to be poor, excluded, and unemployed than men with disabilities.
