With school pupils can be air quality scientists!
Get a free high-spec air quality monitor which feeds data to a specially designed Web App. Here staff and students can view and investigate in their classroom and try curriculum-linked activities and experiments.
SAMHE (pronounced ‘Sammy’!) stands for Schools’ Air quality Monitoring for Health and Education. Poor air quality impacts pupils’ health and attention levels, so it’s important it’s monitored and understood. SAMHE is a research project which brings together scientists, pupils and teachers to do just that!
Co-designed with schools, SAMHE is fun and engaging for pupils and meets teachers’ needs. Teaching staff say that it’s “powerful to see the live feed of the data” and the “range of options allows us to use this system across the STEM subjects”.
Launching w/c 24 April. Register now at samhe.org.uk
SAMHE - Schools' Air quality Monitoring for Health and Education A research project giving UK school pupils and teachers access to data on their classroom air quality and the tools to understand it.

Do you want to help young people learn about technology? Are you keen to share your digital skills with the next generation of app developers, games designers, creative technologists, and robotics engineers? We’ll show you how you can get involved with volunteering at technology clubs for young people.
What will you learn?
Whether you want to start up your own group, or lend a hand at an established club - we’ll share tips and tricks for what makes a successful club. You’ll get an insight into what it feels like to run a technology club, and what approaches work well. We’ll explain the different options open to you (including Code Clubs, CoderDojos, remote volunteering, and volunteering in schools) and the next steps you need to take.
Who should attend?
You don’t need to be a technical expert. This session is ideal for anyone interested in starting up or supporting a technology club for young people. Including all technology workers, interested students, youth workers, and teachers. Volunteering at a technology club is a great way to sharpen your own technical skills, confidence, and make an impact on the lives of young people.
When is it?
We are running 2 x online sessions for you to choose from on 17 March 10am - 11:30am and 27 March 1pm - 2:30pm. You only need to select one date as both sessions will cover the same content.
