18-30 Christians following Jesus in the pursuit of climate justice.
We’ve reached the end of a chapter! 📕
After our wonderful in-person day and General Meeting on Saturday, we’re announcing the bittersweet news that as a network we’ve voted to close and go into hibernation…
We simply don’t have anyone able to take the lead currently, so we’ve decided to simply be ‘Young Christian Climate Friends’ until such a time as someone expresses an interest in picking things up again.
Is that you? Get in touch by emailing [email protected] to let us know!
We’re so excited for our annual YCCN community meet-up - fast approaching on Saturday 18th November! 🙌

We are also recruiting four smaller roles:

- Data Officer - overseeing management of data & storage 🧑💻
- Partnerships Lead - maintaining relationships with our partners in climate justice 🤝

Why take the Veg Pledge this summer? 🫛
Excessive meat consumption is a justice issue - and God calls us to seek justice in our world. 🌍
Why take the Veg Pledge this summer? 🥬🍅
The Old Testament shows that God clearly values animal welfare: mass meat production & consumption generally falls short of these standards. 🐄

Let’s gather to remind the Church of England of the urgency of the climate crisis and their need to review & update their corporate partnerships, investments and pension policies to those that are in line with their declaration of a climate emergency & promise to act in a cruciform way in the face of the climate emergency!

It’s Friday - and it’s Day 5 of Veg Pledge week! 🥳
Today consider what other changes you could make to your lifestyle to honour and care for God’s creation - could you walk more rather than drive, grow vegetables yourself, buy second-hand - or, most importantly, join a climate activism group. 💚
Here’s Ruth to explain why she is taking the Veg Pledge this summer. 🙌
