Here is the link to the new website of the group administering the Entrance Assessment from 2023. This will be of particular interest to P6 parents.

SEAG | Home SEAG is pleased to be able to provide and administer the Entrance Assessment used by selective schools in N. Ireland from 2023. The registration process will be online and easy to use for parents wishing to register their children.

Here’s a little update for those with children currently in P6…

Transfer test: New exam body reveals details of first papers The common transfer test is the biggest change to the post-primary transfer system since 2008.

* Registration Closing - 23rd September!

Do not miss this date.

If you were thinking about GL but not too sure - then APPLY! The child doesn’t need to turn up but if you decide to do it last minute and you haven’t applied, you will be disappointed and it’s tough to convince GL to give you a late place.

To apply for GL:
- Download form, fill it in and take it to grammar school with ID.
- It’s FREE for everyone.

To apply for AQE:
- It’s all online.
- You pay first (free if child gets free school meals) then fill out form online and upload pic of child.
