Following on from the previous post. The stitched photos now reveal the up-to-date landscape superimposed onto the original in HD, in 📸1).
📸2) An orthomosaic depicting height gradient relevant to its surroundings. The red indicates surfaces at the highest point of the shot, and blue the lowest point. A great tool for understanding gradient of a landscape.
📸3-5) Once the images have been stitched together, we are able to create a point cloud of reference points in 3D space allowing us to model the landscape in 3D. These are shots of that landscape at about a 45 deg angle off the surface.

📸1) An overview of the site.
📸2) A flight plan is constructed to achieve all angles for the shots.
📸3) Each dot represents a geolocated photo containing metadata of its surroundings abs circumstances.

These are then all ‘stitched’ together to create a single, up to date, image of the area in both 2D and 3D. Stay tuned for the results.
