As part of our D&T seasonal foods topic, Year 4 have enjoyed making cupcakes today. Yummy!
Year 5 have had a fantastic D & T lesson making their very own Tomato soup! We used our Bridge technique to help us like our previous lesson. It was so much fun and very yummy!

5SB have really enjoyed their skipping workshop this morning! We even learnt some skipping tips and tricks too!
Year 4 have had a great afternoon in D&T.
We have created our own moving mechanism using paper to create amazing cards and posters.
Year 5 have had a fun afternoon in their DT lesson learning about seasonal fruits in Britain and then made their very own fruit kebabs to eat! They had to use the Bridge technique to cut the fruits. It was so much fun!
Year 4 have loved sorting different materials today in Science. We have experimented with different liquid and solid materials by touching and pouring them. Some were very sticky π

Wow! The goblin car team had such an amazing time at the race track today, taking part in the Greenpower Education Trust Staffordshire Goblin Car race. They did an amazing job and worked brilliantly as a race team! We are so proud of them all!
Year 4 enjoyed a game of Battleships today in Maths. We looked at co-ordinates in our learning and how to plot them on a graph. We then went outside to sink our opponents ships.

Our goblin car team are super excited about their upcoming race day. Weβve been dodging the rain, practising both in the hall and outside this afternoon, making final preparations for race day on Thursday 6th June. Wish us luck!

6-8 minutes of shaking cream and it turned into butter! WOW!
Some of us loved shaking the cream so much, they gave it extra power with their dance moves!
Year 4 had an amazing day yesterday at the Dairy Farm in Ashbourne.
We found out some interesting facts about Cows and where milk comes from. We also fed some marshmallows to the cows. Yum!
We then had the a chance to make some butter from just a little cream⦠Shake! Shake! Shake!

5KW had a super morning at the Emma Bridgewater Factory. We learnt lots and even decorated our own plates. π
Year 4 have had a lovely morning outside.
In Maths, we have been learning about lines of symmetry in shape.
We even used mirrors to check our faces.. WOW!
Year 5 have been busy working on using protractors to draw lines and angles in maths. Some fantastic partner talk for peer support has been heard! For more support with protractor work, the Year 5s can use the links on their Google Classroom
What a week year 3 have had making appreciation flags in PSHE and learning how to use Google classroom in computing. Year 3 will now be able to access homework online from home.
Our boys football team had a fantastic win at the Crescent Academy β½οΈ
Year 4 have loved being outside today, learning all about the properties of shapes in Maths.
After finishing our explanation text writing about the Ancient Egyptians, year 3 had the opportunity to βmummifyβ Mrs Mountford, Mrs Rabia and Mrs Wea ring!

We had a tour of the factory, met some skilled workers and then painted our own plates. I think some of the children have found a career when they are older!
