We've restocked our wigs over the weekend! If you've been looking for a particular style/colour, now is a good time to check!

If something is still shown as out of stock, it will be restocked at the end of September.

❗What's happened:

We've been alerted to a problem where some EU customers who have already paid VAT to us are being charged VAT (and fees) again to receive their packages. This seems to be mostly for packages that were sent on 26th June.

❗What we're doing about it:

We're very very sorry about this. If this has happened to you, please email us at [email protected] with the receipt of what you had to pay. We will refund the VAT we charged, and send a giftcard code to cover any service fee.

We will also spend the next few days working out who might have been affected and individually contact everyone.

❗Why has this happened?

We are trying to find out why this has happened. Nothing has changed with our despatch process, so it's likely there has been a problem with the IOSS database, or the postal service we used was not sending out our registration information correctly to various customs departments. To be honest we don't think we will know the truth - postal companies are not interested in answering questions from small businesses, and customs departments are a law unto themselves. But we'll do out utmost to avoid this from happening. This may mean changing postal couriers.

Some of our wigs, wefts, ponytail clips and other wig-related items have been restocked! If you're after something it's worth checking our site now!

More wefts (including Matt Dark Brown, Honey and Pale Teal which are still oos) will arrive in 2-3 weeks.

On top of restocking existing wigs, the Florence style has expanded from 37 to 50 colours, with new pinks, greens and blues now available.

Last but not least, the Zero wig is finally here. We do still need to take photos, but if you're in a hurry, you can get it now by going to WIGS > SHORT WIGS on the site.

This year has been so much busier than the last - it's a good thing of course, but it's caught us out and thrown our restock schedules out the window (not to mention freight is such a nightmare these days). We're working on getting restocks more frequently!

The upcoming delivery of wig restock has been delayed - initially it was going to be on 14th Feb, then it became 25th, now we're told it'll be on the 28th**. That is when the shipment arrives at port, then there is customs clearance, delivery to us, and the three of us unpacking a few thousand items.

/Assuming there are no further delays/, we reckon it'll be around 7-10th Mar that the new stock will be up on the website.

The new Zero wig is in this delivery as well, though obviously we need to take photos before they'll be online.

** A whole 2 weeks later than originally expected! The anxiety is very real. Please be kind, we can't make shipping go faster.

We're back! As per tradition, a big wall of text below! For those who don't feel like reading, the tl;dr:

• orders above 2kg may not need a courier now, so shipping may be cheaper depending on country.
• customers with EU orders over 150EUR need to pay VAT, duties & fees separately (unless you contact us to arrange).
• restock arrival date uncertain, could be delayed from mid-February.

📜 The long version 📜

📦 Shipping:
We can now send medium weight parcels without necessarily using a courier! For some countries, this means 2-5kg or 2-10kg packages are now cheaper to send than before.

BIG CHANGE for EU orders - For packages over 150EUR IOSS limit, rather than charging you the VAT, from now on we don't charge it, instead the taxes and fees will need to be paid to local authorities when you receives the package. Previously we folded these costs into the shipping price (a "delivery duty prepaid DDP" service), but it made the price quotes very inaccurate particularly for orders near the 150EUR boundary.

We know this is not ideal for places where the VAT admin fee is high, like Belgium and Denmark. If you have a high value package like that and would rather we use DDP, send us a screenshot of your basket and your delivery address and we'll work out if DDP will be cheaper for you. (DDP requires courier which is always more expensive and so might not necessarily be cheaper.)

🚢 Restock:

The next restock was *meant* to be shipped out around now and *should* arrive in early-mid February (30-35 days), but right now we're not so certain. Since November there have been numerous attacks and hijacks of commercial ships, and a week ago the US Navy had to get involved to protect a container ship in the Red Sea. The shipping giants are now avoiding Red Sea/Suez Canal/Mediterranean Sea, and re-routing via the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. Not only does this add ~15 days to the journey, prices have skyrocketed by 80% (so far!) because of additional costs and the reduced availability of ships caused by longer transit times. Road/rail freight and air freight are obviously also options but scarcity of space is pushing everyone to look at all methods so everything is being affected.

We're waiting to see what our options are! One way or another we will get the restock delivered to us, it's just how, and how long it's going to take, and how much it's going to cost us. When it does get here though, a new style will also land! We'll get things delivered as soon as we reasonably can.

A reminder that we will be closing from this Friday for holiday and site maintenance! All orders that come in before the cut off time will be sent out before we close. Though please understand that at this time of year the postal service can be slow so we can't guarantee delivery before Christmas unless you choose Special Delivery at checkout (UK customers only).
