Back to 12 degrees base camp after a fabulous 2nd leg of in Belfast. Great city, trekkers, volunteers and charity partners. An astonishing amount raised for such a worthwhile charity too!
At 12 degrees we really thrive on working with our clients to deliver their vision, and this weekend was no different when we supported Just Group with their Charity Challenge, . The initiative has so far has raised a massive £24,000 for Hourglass whose mission is to establish safer ageing for all.
Designing a bespoke Charity Walk in London requires a bit of planning and replanning especially when train strikes try and hamper our plans! Thankfully, this did not deter our trekkers and 110 set out to complete either a Marathon / 1/ 2 marathon or 10 km route around London.
Trekkers came away with a huge sense of achievement and tales to share with their colleagues, friends, and family. A special thanks to Adventure Cafe Ltd who once again supported 12 degrees with Event Delivery and our fabulous volunteers from Just Group plc who could not have been more helpful.
A most enjoyable day, supporting such a fabulous event (and people) and we are lucky enough to be doing it all again in Belfast on the 16th of September where we hope to be able to raise more vital funds for Hourglass.

All set and ready for another Charity Challenge tomorrow in Central London. Thankfully the train strikes have not stopped the commitment of participants to raise well earned runs for Hourglass a very deserving charity supporting our elderly community.
Tomorrow promises a favourable forecast, chance to explore London and network/ connect with colleagues.
A long event day ahead but looking forward to seeing months of hard work culminating in a fun / rewarding day raising vital funds.
We have been running Learn to Row Experiences for years and it is one of our most rewarding and most loved Team Building Activities.
Through this experience, teams get to know each other, explore strengths and weaknesses. Achieve together and are inspired to transfer this learning into the ‘real world’ of business.
Dont take our word for it - this is what one of our most recent Learn to Row clients had to say about their experience.
Now available in Cambridge as well as London.
12 degrees have had the pleasure to work alongside Bgli over many years designing & delivering their Exec Team Challenges raising a huge amount of money for many local & National Charities.
It is always a pleasure to work with their team and this year was no different!
In May 2023 the Bgli Team took on their biggest and best challenge yet the Newlands Adventure Trio in the beautiful Lake District raising over £25,000 for MacMillian Cancer Support.
Over 40 BGLi colleagues completed a gruelling:
• 18km hike around the Newlands Horseshoe, conquering over 1500m of rugged mountain terrain.
• Cycled over 22km through the Whinlatter Forest pedalling over 500m in elevation.
• Rafted over 6km around Derwent Water
Each member of the team had spent months training and worked together, overcoming challenges to cross the finish line in a remarkable 12 hours!
This ultimate corporate event offers a perfect opportunity for team building, charitable fundraising, or simply an invigorating workplace challenge. Don't miss out on this unparalleled opportunity to bond, thrive, and make a lasting impact on your employees.

We need URGENT action, our industry will collapse and many loose their livelihoods. A sad state of affairs when so many of us have spent years serving the industry we love.
Everyone has been saying loud and clear that without Government backed insurance, the 2021 festival season won’t happen. Despite this, the government has not acted and now Glastonbury Festivals has been cancelled, which will likely trigger a domino effect leading to a wave of cancellations and delays throughout all types of live events.
Our sector is collapsing. We have been unable to work for almost a year, but have been excluded in many ways from vital support. To survive, we have to be able to start working as soon as it is safe to do so – which means Government backed insurance must be put in place urgently – as well as the additional financial support we have been calling for.

Frightening the amount of people who have lost their livelihoods with this pandemic...
Half a MILLION jobs are at risk in events industry Three in four businesses in the events industry said they could go bust by spring. That would put around 525,000 jobs at risk in the business events and conference industry.
Hopefully a powerful enough message for the events industry to obtain the support they need to survive. Many have not been able to operate since early March and income streams unlikely to start until June 2021

Petition: Give further finacial support to the Events and Hospitality industry Being the first to close and still no clue as to when we can open, this seasonal industry is losing its summer profits that allows them to get through the first quarter of next year. Even if we are allowed to open in December, 1 months profit won't be enough to keep us open in 2021. We need help
