The Yoga Mindset – Yoga Nidra Information Sheet:

Yoga Nidra translates to Yogic Sleep, a form of meditation and an invitation into presence and awareness. It is a deeply restful Yoga practice and an extremely effective way to slow down and restore balance to the nervous system. In Yoga Nidra, you are invited to find a comfortable position, lying down on a yoga mat, using all the props you need such as blankets, eye pillows and bolsters, to get as cosy as possible and allow Yoga Nidra to take you on the journey to deep rest and relaxation.

The benefits of Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra can be practiced by everyone; no previous yoga or meditation experience is needed although you’ll find the benefits will be greater with a regular practice. It is ideal for people who struggle with letting go or slowing down in life. It is beneficial for people with sleep disorders, anxiety and low mood.
