why we do this

Beijing-bound Gerken-Schofield sisters emotional to leave brother Tom behind Tom’s progress was stalled last year when he suffered concussion, which effectively ended his hopes of joining his sisters at the Winter Olympics.

Petition: Include Dry Slope (artificial slope) Skiing & Snowboarding in GCSE PE Currently GCSE Physical Education excludes dry slope skiing and snowboarding, whereas the Welsh specification GSCE allows for skiing and snowboarding on artificial slopes. I would like the GCSE Specification within England amended to include skiing and snowboarding on artificial slopes (dry-slope)

Please please please don’t read this as a slant on this amazing and critical fillip for those heroic NFPs doing so much in these testing times BUT there are an awful lot of us smaller fish who are utterly destroyed by this situation.

As we understand it, DONATIONS ARE DOWN 40% ACROSS THE BOARD 😬.that’s ACROSS THE BOARD, including the big guys in famine, peacekeeping, health, mental health, armed forces....EVERYBODY

Our particular pain is that sport is suspended...

So many people worry about paying for their sport in the best of times, let alone finding money to fund deposits on unused logistics and cancelled competition entry fees that have already been paid for competitions they will never win...

Athletes worrying about their future form is not a new thing...nor is worrying about their future finances....considering such futures (whenever sport recommences) without a functioning sporting third sector would be!!!

We have not wanted to deflect from those much more important than us in these new waters but if you have a pound or two spare due to pub closure, we’d love the help to keep things ticking over.... 🙏
