My last session this year from our time at Artspace Cinderford and I was priveleged to host ❤️😊🙏🏼

Been enjoying sketching on my driftwood pieces, whenever i get a little time, not sure there is any such thing as down time in an artists life! Sent this one off as a wedding gift this week, and a spot in a local shop I'm prepping for! Bit excited about that 😁

We would love to welcome everyone of a creative persuasion to come along to the all new weekly

🌲Forest Life Drawing🌳

Facilitated by Grace Engel, Portrait artist from the Forest of Dean, based in Lydney, sessions will be held from Thursday 4th of April .
Bring your own basic art materials and small eisel if you have one but tables and extras are available.
We will create artwork from the figure in a warm welcoming and safe environment where, even if you've had no experience with either drawing from observation or figure drawing, there will be fun relaxed exercises for you to have a go, there are no mistakes just learning curves! And if you'd like some tuition it is available on request.
With a diverse variety of models and artists, both seasoned and completely new to the experience .
Free Tea and Coffee
£10 for an hour and a half session from 6 until 7.30, weekly. We only need 10 attendees each week to run it at this low price.

2 of my golden oldies that I've keep from way back in my figurative, journey drawing from life, 18 years old! i started to enjoy playing with ink and wax resists and paint alongside the charcoal on this day... I will always remember our tutor the wonderful Mick Maslen at Pitville campus at Cheltenham art college encouraging us to work freed from constraints of exactitude and to find fluidity of expression....

These tiny squares on brown parccel paper were drawn at my freind Claudia's class 'lessons from Life' in Monmouth, such a great way to n work quickly and fluidly
