The Story so far... Simply Chocolicious

It all started back in 2008. I had moved to Blackburn and started a family. Whilst the children would sleep I was busy perfecting my chocolate making skills. It began as a hobby where I made chocolates for friends and family. I was invited to an event where my chocolates were offered as canapes to guests. A few days later I received a very unexpected email asking if I would make chocolates for a very well known university campus in Dubai. Of course I said yes. At this point Simply Chocolicious was born.

I worked from home for the next 5 years, balancing family life and making chocolates. As a working mum I had my good days and bad but I knew I had a fab product and little did I know at the time where my journey would take me over the years. I had an exciting adventure and I did some pretty cool stuff, getting recognised for my work, attending events, winning awards, and creating masterpieces for celebrities and corporate clients.

The opportunity of running a cafe was offered, naturally I said yes without a single thought of how much my life would change. For the next 2 years I was living and breathing chocolate.
In 2016 I made a very difficult decision and closed the business and decided to concentrate on bringing up my family and take a break. My children mean the world to be and they weren’t going to stay young forever as my mother told me.

Now that my children are older I have decided to relaunch my business. A little different than before as my eldest wants to take the reins. I have been teaching her over the years and now she feels confident in taking the business further.

This doesn't mean I am going away, I'm still here, albeit behind the scenes guiding and teaching my daughter. Simply Chocolicious will always remain at the core of my heart.

Thank you to everyone to came to our stall today at Blackburn Market The Spice Festival.

We had so much fun with everyone talking about chocolate and more so, with those who took the ' Chilli Chocolate Challenge'

Each piece of chocolate handmade with dark chocolate infused with a variety of flavours and spices. 6 different chilli chocolates ranging from Mild to Medium to Fiery to the EXTREME !!!!

Each began with the mildest and worked through to the Extreme, with just a few who stopped midway as they needed something cold to drink !!!

There were some brave contenders that took on the challenge ...here a few pictures of completed the Challenge ☺☺☺

Must say people love a bit of chilli in their chocolate ....might just put it on the menu !!!!
