On Friday Minister Lyons announced that from Monday 25th March 2024 the Co-Ownership Property Value Limit will increase from £190,000 to £195,000.

There will also be some other changes which will be going live on this date. They include:

✅ Increasing the savings amount for both Co-Own and Co-Own for Over 55s
✅ Increasing the Before and After purchase issues to £6,000
✅ Accepting one bed apartments for our Co-Own and Co-Own for Over 55s products
✅ Increasing the property fee from £500 to £550.

From Wednesday 21st September 2022 our Property Value Limit (PVL) will increase from £175,000 to £190,000. This relates to our Co-Own, Co-Own for Over 55s and Rent to Own products.

✅ The new PVL will apply to customers who submit their applications on or after 21st September 2022.
✅ If you have received a final offer, as this relates to the property, this offer will remain the same.
✅ If you have an AIP of £175,000 but have not yet uploaded a property that has gone to final offer stage, you can contact us in relation to increasing it. We will need to check if your financial circumstances will support a higher AIP amount.

If you have a mortgage due for renewal in the coming months and are requesting a payment holiday, please be aware that this could affect the new rate you will be switching to.

For example: If your fixed rate deal expires on the 30/04/2020 and you would like to enter into a new fixed rate with your current lender. This may not be possible if you are in the middle of a payment holiday. Therefore, at the end of your payment holiday, you will automatically go onto the lender’s Standard Variable Rate which may be considerably higher than your current payment

If your rate is due to expire within the next 3 months, get in contact with your advisor who will be able to secure your fixed rate deal and help you through the payment holiday process.
