Penketh and Great Sankey Scout Plant Sale 2024

The plant sale is now over and all plants have been successfully delivered (with a few hiccups along the way but we got there in the end 🙂).
Our intrepid team of volunteers have been amazing and delivered 2432 trays of plants, 702 pot plants, 106 hanging baskets and 103 hanging basket kits. Top of the popularity charts for the second year running is Non Stop Begonias with 354 being sold. The gardens of Penketh and Great Sankey will certainly be in bloom this Summer!

2024 has been a great year for us, with sales up a whopping 20% on last year. Thank you to everyone who has bought from us this year.

Organising a sale of this size is no mean feat. Over 40 people have been involved in organising, getting the IT to work, promoting, dealing with queries and delivering. We’d also like to thank everyone at Woodend Nursery for supporting us year after year.

When your pots and hanging baskets are looking fabulous, take some pictures. We will post in a few weeks asking for photos. We love to see them and it’s great to have more photos of our customer's plants to use next year.

Operation Plant Delivery is well underway and we are currently slightly ahead of schedule. Please bear with us - we have over 300 orders and over 3000 trays/pots to deliver.
With so many to deliver we may get the odd mistake. If you notice any errors on your delivery please don't worry - just get in touch with us and it will be resolved.
Just a reminder the delivery schedule is up to Friday 17th May, but we cannot accept any requests for deliveries on specific dates. This is logistically too difficult.

Hanging baskets are a great way to brighten up your garden or front door. All the work is done – you just have to remember to water them! 💧💧 🌺

Warrington West Scouts are holding their annual Spring Plant Sale in partnership with Woodend Nursery.

We have a great range of plants and hanging baskets on offer and most of the prices remain the same as last year.

One of our customers posted on a local gardening group these pictures of his fabulous Million Bells baskets that he bought from us this year. It was great to see them in bloom. Operation Plant Delivery has commenced! We made a good start tonight and delivered all those planned for tonight and most of tomorrow's as well, so we are ahead of plan now. More deliveries scheduled tomorrow night.

Our website is back and fully operational. Open for taking orders :-)

Unfortunately , our website is not accepting card payments at the payment screen at the moment. We are working on the issue and hope to get this resolved soon. I will update this page when everything is back working properly.

We've had a few reports of people not getting a confirmation email when they have placed their order online. The emails have definitely been sent but we suspect GMAIL may be blocking our email domain - they may have us marked as Spam. If you didn't get a confirmation email and would like some reassurance it worked, please double check your Junk folder and if it isn't there message us with your name and address and I will double check.
