It was a pleasure to volunteer some support last night, at the Newport Lovelight Christmas concert at the Newport Cathedral, for Tenovus Cancer Care.
I had the honour of piping a few Christmas carols and other festive favourites for guests as they arrived at this event.
This special concert supports people affected by cancer, and provides families and friends an opportunity to come together and light a candle to remember loved ones no longer with us.
A big thank you to the organisers of this event for letting me be part of your special Christmas concert, and also a big thank you for all the kind words from guests who said "hello" to me on their way into the Cathedral.

Christmas decorations up yet? π
Here's a tune I recorded to get you in the mood.
Piping today in frosty and very cold Weston Super Mare.
Piping for a very special surprise for a very special (ninety-six year old) lady who loves the sound of the bagpipes.
Well, it's December 1st today... So, does that mean that we can put the Christmas tree up yet? Or is it still too early? Let me know what you think.
Big shout out to Ian of Parody Portraits - Caricature Entertainment & Gifts who drew this picture of me at the recent ICC Wedding Fair in Newport, South Wales.
Check out his page for more portraits.
We will remember them.

A massive thank you to Sam and Izzie who kindly shared a photograph from their July wedding day at the Ceridwen Centre in Llandysul, West Wales.
I am so grateful when couples share their photos; such great memories!
Sharing just one last photo, captured by Andrew Miller Photography, at the August wedding of Lorraine and Daniel at Eastwood Park, Gloucestershire.
Good night all.....
When a pair of socks costs Β£155 new, you learn how to darn!
A shout out to Andrew Miller Photography for kindly sharing this great image taken at the beautiful wedding of Lorraine and Daniel at Eastwood Park in August this year.
I'm sure that Andrew can explain how this dramatic image was captured better than me; all I know is that a separate powerful flashlight synced to the camera was involved.
The red dragon of wales might not appear on the national Union Flag of the United Kingdom, but the fact that our flag has a dragon on it still makes one of the best flags ever!
So, where does the red dragon emblem actually come from?
The red dragon as an emblem of Wales has been used since the reign of Cadwaladr, King of Gwynedd from around AD 655, however myth and legend suggest that Merlin (of Arthurian legend) prophesised a red dragon (representing the Celtic Britons (now Welsh)) in opposition with a white dragon (representing Anglo-Saxons (now English)).
The Tudor colours of white and green were added later by King Henry VII after he beat Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485.
The currently flag of Wales was officially recognised in 1959.
I always try to incorporate a Welsh red dragon emblem into my uniform when performing.

Piping at the August wedding of Lorraine and Daniel, at the beautiful Eastwood Park
This stunning Victorian house estate rests in the rolling hills of Gloucestershire, and was such a wonderful setting for the marriage of Lorraine and Daniel.
Congratulations to them both, and thankyou for inviting me to be part of your wedding day.
A windy day...
