The Friends of Cobbs Garden Surgery raises money for our local GP Practice by purchasing medical services and equipment no longer provided by the NHS.

The registered charity was founded over 25 years ago to raise funds for services and equipment no longer provided by the NHS. Money is raised by The Friends themselves and by donations and bequests from patients and local businesses. Over £60,000 has been raised to purchase a whole variety of medical equipment and services. So today sees the closure of the charity after 31 years but not the end of the work. A big thank you to all who have followed and supported the Friends. Watch out for the development of OiK CIC.

Friends fund further ECG machine for surgery. This will update an older machine that is no longer compatible with latest software.

"The new ECG machine will help detect patients with abnormal heart rates/ rhythms as well as detect heart attacks to enable prompt action which could help to save life. Nurses and healthcare assistants are using this equipment on a regular basis and therefore it is important to have two machines to enable access and safety if one were to fail".
