Today and tomorrow, Akademia WSB - WSB University is organising the first -CBL conference.
-CBL is a KA2 funded project, working on challenge-based learning, that helps to prepare our students to be T-shaped, with deep disciplinary knowledge and being able to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
In challenge-based learning, students engage in real-world challenges that are open-ended, lacking a singular 'right' solution. The learning process is active, self-directed, collaborative and encourages students to become comfortable with uncertainty
We are very happy to be part of this funded project,
👉 creating a set of guidelines and materials for teachers to be used
👉 Training the trainer, so teachers can learn on how to use chalkenge-based learning in their courses
👉 Developing the Enter-CBL online platform

A great example of resilience and entrepreneurship in the face of adversity spotted on a recent vacation in the south of England this summer. Refugees from the Ukraine sharing their culture and cuisine with tourists and locals in the seaside resort of Falmouth. I'm pleased to say the café was rather busy. The European Erasmus project aims to inspire and support more refugees across Europe to develop their entrepreneurial mindset by setting up their own tourism or hospitality business just like this one.

AI-influence on the labour market: the relevance of tech on our jobs
Date: 26 June 2024
Time: 12.30PM CET
What was, is and will the influence of technologies be on the labour market? How will work be organised in about 10 years and how does it differ from now? What will be the role of humans in a fully automated world?
In this brunch session, you'll explore how technology has historically influenced labour and continues to shape it today. We'll examine past and present technological advancements and their impact on (the organisation of) work. Together, we'll brainstorm about the future of work. Curious about your future job? Join us to predict the future.
This brunch, led by Boris Ney will be part of a bigger tech-related series including a workshop at the Annual Conference in Istanbul. In future sessions we will focus on the influence of AI on (buying) decisions, digital surveillance, the role of data in current economies as well as the influence of using technological devices on health. The focus lies particularly but not solely on the effects on gen Z.
About Boris Ney.

He has taught at various UAS in the Netherlands in the field of social work, international HRM, business, hospitality and economics.
