This month we have Andrew Blenkiron Estate Director from Euston Estates.
Andrew will be giving his presentation on Euston Estate, past, present and the future.
His talk will cover the history and operation of Euston Estate especially over the last 12 years,
This will include some of his experiences during his time at Euston, including his background before running the estate.
I am sure this will prove to be a very interesting talk about a local estate, we hope that you are able to support the evening.

This month we have Andy King from Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue ( SULSAR )

He will be giving us an insight into the history, specialist teams and the operation of this organisation.

Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue is a 100% voluntary specialist search team which helps the emergency services find missing vulnerable adults and children.

I am sure this will prove to be a very interesting talk covering some past incidents and what the future holds with new technologies we hope that you are able to support the evening.

Our third meeting of this season will be on Tuesday, 13th December 2022

7.30 pm at the Riverside Hotel Mildenhall

This month we have Brian Prince, CEO of JKH Drainage Ltd

Brian will be giving us a presentation on the history and development of JKH over the last 50 plus years.

From its establishment in 1969 by its founder the late John K H***e to their recent developments at their newly modernised factory in Mildenhall.

If you have travelled past Mildenhall Industrial Est. recently you could not miss the major redevelopment for their new factory.

We will hopefully follow this as a summer visit to look at this new facility.

This month we have Oliver Forrest, Head Gardener at Kirtling Towers in Cambridgeshire, the home of the Fairhaven Family.

A 25 acre garden, laid out 20 years ago, with formal lawns, a moat, herbaceous borders and large shrub garden.His talk will chart his journey from a trainee at Holkham Hall to his current role running a garden loved by the family and visitors alike.

The first meeting of the new season will be on Tuesday 11th October 2022, 7:30pm Riverside Hotel, Mildenhall.
For this meeting we have Ben Turner, Director of Ben Burgess and grandson of founder Mr Ben Burgess.
He will be giving a presentation about the history of Ben Burgess during the companies growth and expansion over the years also looking into the future. Ben will also give us an overview of their product range that they offer.

Tuesday 14th January 2020
This month we have Robert Smith from Russell Smith Farms Duxford
Coming to give us a presentation about their farming operations.
This will be an overview of the Farms history, day to day operations also including the Savoursmiths Crisps Snack Range. These are small batch hand cooked crisps all made from home grown produce. There will be samples of their range of flamboyant flavours.

This month we have Anne Mason coming along to give us a presentation about Thetford Forest.
This will cover several aspects of the forestry from Trees, Wildlife, Recreation and heritage.

Our next meeting on 12th November 2019
Ladies Night

Roseanna and Steven Thompson will give us a presentation on The Thompson's Family Farm and How it diversified.
Also David Hartnell their butcher will bring half a Pig to do a butchery demonstration. He will be talking about different cuts of meat, sausage making and recipes.
The meat from the demonstration will be on sale at the end of the evening.

Don’t forget the venue change! All meetings to be held at the Riverside Mildenhall.

October 8th meeting
Our first meeting of the season will be -: Ford and Fordson Tractor skid units from 1945 to 1990.
Our speaker will be Peter Thorpe
Peter’s talk will be about some of the various conversions that Ford and Fordson Tractor skid units from 1945 to 1990. These were used in manufacturing the likes of Roadless and Muir Hill to name a couple.
Peter has a great selection of pictures taken over the years and will surely bring back some interesting memories.
