July Update
As many of you may know, back in November 2015 we tracked our second album. Since then things have not gone to plan.. Here’s an update to what’s been happening: We travelled to Florida in November. Quite quickly it became clear that the producer we were with had more interest in our money than in recording our album. As a result of this, after 4 weeks we only had half an album plus a promise from our producer that he had enough to finish and mix it himself. We finally got some mixed tracks in January, but were shocked with the poor quality of production. After accepting our complaints, our producer he said he would re-mix everything and get back to us. After two further months with no response and no progress, James flew back out to Florida in April to work with him to finish recording and mixing all the tracks. Despite taking an additional payment, the attitude of our producer was little different to what it had been in November. After a further month with no response we set a deadline for the mixed tracks to be delivered. If this was not met, we made the decision to mix with someone else. After waiting two further months, we decided to take legal action and have finally (today) received the session stem files for the tracks we put down in November. On listening to the new tracks that were recorded with James in April, we found they were unedited and rushed proving to be useless. That’s why next week we will be heading into the studio with our good friend Stu McKay to re track all the Guitars and Bass so we can finally finish the album. This whole process has taken over 8 months and we can’t even begin to explain how frustrated and stressed we have all been. We want to let you all know that we are now going 110% to make sure we get our delayed album released as soon as we possibly can.
