Bubblegum pastels and a whole load of sugar flowers...
Soft lilac, pink and yellow roses, pink orchids, sweet peas in whites and lilac, fluffy filler flowers and a smidge of green foliage.
I love the mix of English country garden meets modern Asian with the cascading orchids.
The palest peachy pink base colour adds a lovely warmth to the proceedings.
Elegant and contemporary luxury.
The most beautiful London wedding from just over a year ago. I hope the last year has been just as wonderful M&C... ❤️

Detail...
Peonies were huge last year and still going strong for 2024 weddings. Can't see them going any time soon!
These large sugar blooms create a super soft, pale pastel effect. Large mixed with smaller peony heads and delicate tones from a tiny splash of deeper pink to whites and the palest of apricots.
Wafer thin sugar petals make it seem like they would yield to the touch 😊
No filler or other flowers needed here, the peony is the star of the show.

Ten years old this year! 😲
Classic green, white, gold, and big blousy sugar magnolia.
I put gold on most things back in the day, not sure I do it at all now unless asked. I think you grow out of certain styles - sometimes you swing back round, sometimes it's left in the past...
Took way too many shots of this, I'm a sugar blossom freak.... 😂
So much more than filler flowers....
Layers of tiny yellow sugar forsythia blossoms on spotless white tiers.
Perfect for a modern, paired back spring wedding. Team with natural neutrals for effortless elegance.
The tree at the back of the garden that gives me so much inspiration each year is full of buds and gearing up for showtime! 💪💪
Beautiful wedding cake with a sugar bouquet of baby pink orchids, bright forsythia and peach chrysanthemum.
I like the structure of orchids, always think they are a bit edgier for some reason? Very much inspired by Asian and Antipodean floristry with bold colour ways and more contemporary arrangement.
You could go brighter with hot pinks or corals, extend the arrangement for more coverage, and go full maximal! .
Sugar lilacs wedding cake.
I love the impact of repeating one element, be it a type of flower or colour.
The sheer numbers of tiny sugar blossoms add huge depth, along with differing tones from either end of the lilac spectrum.
Florals with a definite contemporary feel.
Splash of sugar colour for a bit of a grotty day..!
Full, loose bouquet with hot pinks and pastels ❤️
A beautiful brief executed in sugar. Bright, bold blooms on crisp white tiers.
Roses, peonies, sweet peas, and dahlia amongst others in a loose, English country garden vibe.
Sugar flowers - take ages, always worth it...
Every cake really is an individual piece of handcrafted art. Each one by its nature a little different.
It goes beyond the technical to the unquantifiable, an instict.
How you use colour, placement - in essence, your style, your eye, your influences. You.
Someone said once that they could tell a cake was mine - that to me is the best compliment.
Pretty beautiful out there this morning....
Wildflower wreath cake.
Sugar alpine poppies, blossom and grasses.
Camelia & chrysanthemums, a little closer....
Been busy beavering away planning a new collection for the 2024 wedding season.
This is the first to make it off the page - Camellia & Chrysanthemum. Beautiful sugar Japanese Camellia in whites and the palest of pink, with pure white chrysanthemum heads.
I love using just one or two types of sugar flowers for a contemporary, minimal (but also maximal😂) effect. Mono floral wedding displays have been a growing trend and can look stunning.
Got to admit the chrysanthemums nearly broke me, as well as my poor fingers but totally worth it.
The loose arrangement adds a realistic softness and depth to the design.
Black Friday...
Lovely shoot over in historical Rye from earlier in the year.
Thanks to for organising and putting it all together so brilliantly!

Been a solid month of matching sugar flowers to the real ones! And from weeks of brights to today's subtle whites...
I do love getting the list of florals, kind of a 'game on' vibe, furious researching and then the test of how near to the real thing I can get. There is always an addition I haven't made or even heard of before - definitely keeps me on my toes...
Today's included sugar white roses, hypericum, lisianthus, freesia, wax flower, eucalyptus, white lilac style flowers and a sprig of lavender special to the couple (and good luck!).
This bouquet with a small cake attached went off to the lovely a mere pootle up the road - beautiful English country garden venue.
Not the best pic, struggling to do much more lately, that's July I suppose! 😂
Hot and tonal pink sugar dahlias, peachy peonies and poppies 🩷🧡
May to September....
Wild flower wreath in sugar.
Bright alpine poppies, daisy's, bramble blossom, and grasses.
Something more than a traditional arrangement - the wreath is a little different and adds interest and movement to the design.
You do need to plan and get it right, absolute pain to tweak! 😬
Hedgerow and sea on a lovely morning walk 💚💙
