We have some sad news. Last week the entire set of our show Flit, Flap & Fly was stolen along with a trailer from a locked car park in St Pauls, Bristol.
We will of course still perform our last upcoming shows of the season, but without the beautiful, hand-crafted set that took many weeks of work to construct from sustainable hazel.
Here is a still from CCTV, which shows our trailer just before it is taken and the offending van. Unfortunately it's not clear enough to see the number plate, but the van has quite a distinctive marking/logo on the side.
If you see this vehicle around Bristol, or any dumped wooden hurdles that you think could be items from our set, please contact us or Avon Police.
Many thanks

Want to find out more about working with Fine Chisel? http://www.artsjobs.org.uk/arts-job/post/female-actor-musician-devising-festive-show-tour/
Over the festive season we made and toured a new show, Neither There Nor Here. While most of the action was about escaping from trolls, man-eating trees and a giant black dog, at the heart of the tale were three outsiders looking for a safe place to call home. At the end of each show we asked audiences to donate anything they could; we said we would take the total amount to Calais and try to help people for whom the search for a safe home is an urgent reality.
We have been dilly-dallying for the past few weeks, trying to find a time when our team could travel to France ourselves for long enough to make a difference. But we don't want to hesitate any longer just because our diary is complicated... the need is great and we want everyone's generous donations to be put to use. The Spring sunshine may be coming out here, but conditions remain life threatening for many living in refugee camps.
So we have just donated the full amount (£1,119!) to the brilliant team at Crew for Calais - an energised collective of theatre people who use their technical skills and equipment to design and build shelters for the camps in Calais and Dunkirk. Here's a video of the work they've done so far: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBmBmP6jufY&feature=youtu.be
I asked CfC what our donation might support and they said: 'that amount will allow us to send six volunteers for ten days each over to the newly constructed Dunkirk refugee camp to work in Aid Distribution and to build the camp kitchens, which feed hundreds of people.'
So thank you very, very much to everyone who came to the shows, sung along, ate and drank with us, then reached into their pockets and donated.

We started this morning with a devising workshop for a group of brilliant A-level students at Clevedon School, in which we created a dysfunctional factory and a perilous flight on a budget airline.
We spent this afternoon rehearsing in the local community centre, which mainly involved puppeteering a military poncho and singing as faeries.
Early evening we played a gig at the Hill Road Christmas Fayre, in which we were joined for an impromptu jam by Bob Geldof's drummer.
And we rounded out the night with a pop-up slot in the interval of a play about a Christmas Grotto.
As 'marketing' goes, this was wonderful. Please help us prove that this approach works by helping us spread the word around North Somerset, Bristol and Bath. Thank you.
