A slightly delayed report on the Ribble Vehicle Preservations Trust's attendance at the Morecambe Vintage by The Sea. It truly was an outstanding event with a collection of buses from ourselves and the Barrow Transport Group and John Fishwick & Sons collection.
Both days were blessed with sunshine, smiles, and superb costumes. We managed to run a 30-minute service from Heysham Village & Towers to the Festival Market and onto Happy Mount Park and return. The service was greeted by hoards of happy passengers to the tune of just shy of 2500 passengers carried over the two days.

The town saw approx. 50,000 people at the event making it the busiest yet.

The Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust would like to thank all of the passengers we had. Those who showed great interest in the work that goes on behind the scenes and those who had no idea that these buses are not operated by major bus operators but by volunteers and kept on the road by donations by the good public.
Without the generosity of you all, we would not be able to showcase these buses and attend events like Vintage by the Sea.

Please if you have any feedback please email us at [email protected] and use the subject as Vintage by the Sea 2023
Lastly, a big well done to the Deco Publique team for all the hard work.

See you all in 2024 for both our Morecambe Vintage Bus Day on the 19th May and again for Vintage in September 24
