Happy new year 2024 πŸŽ‰πŸΈ

The Brooking Family History Society wish you all a happy new year 2024 all our members that receive the fantastic Historian and to all our Facebook readers.

After a gap of 3 years, brought about by the pandemic, we once again gathered for a reunion in May 2023. We met in in the picturesque and historic Cotswold town of Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
Malmesbury is a beautiful ancient hilltop town with much history. A lively and friendly town on the Cotswold tourist trail. It has a magnificent abbey, one of few remaining Norman abbeys in the country. It can also boast that the first King of England is buried in the abbey grounds.

We also conducted the most comprehensive survey undertaken by the Society to gain the members views on physical reunions. The results were published In the December 2023 Historian Vol.20, No.6

As a results of the survey, we are again planning to meet for a reunion in 2024 in the historic naval city of Plymouth Devon, UK. If you are a subscribing member and you wish to register you interest in our reunion then please go to our website www.brookingsociety.org.uk

The new E-Subscription has proved to be popular and this option will continue indefinitely. All our subscription options can be found at www.brookingsociety.org.uk

We hope that you will continue to support and interact within the Facebook chat group with anything you have been involved with that might be of interest to the wider Brooking family.

To help spread the word about The Society and our family it helps if you share the page when you "like" it. πŸ‘«πŸ‘¬πŸ‘«

Finally, I wish all members of the Society a happy and successful NEW YEAR 2024
