The Bandits
The Bandits just play a bit of rock'n'roll which is good for the soul.
Well last night was our last gig of the year. The year went well thx to your support and to the venues for booking us. It was nice to be back, and Stormin the Castle was the highlight, as it always is.
Have a great Christmas and New Year. See you in ‘24.
It’s been a long wait, but we’re back at The Old Fox in Felling this Friday night 😎
Been a long time since we played Stormin, so it’s great to be back. Iris stage for the first time and heading up a great Saturday line up. No merch, no backdrop, no fancy clothes…. Just 100mph rocknroll. 9.30, Saturday night. 😎
The Bandits at The Three Tuns Gateshead . It’s tonight!
On Sunday 20 August, we're thrilled to welcome back The Bandits, featuring the legendary Bad Bob Bates, Brad Dolphin, and the incredible Whalebone Pete.
They're bringing their signature 'in yer face' rock 'n' roll to our stage, and you won't want to miss it!
Join us for a rocking Sunday with *free entry* starting at 4pm.
The Bandits haven’t played in Darlington for ages now, so here’s a rare chance to catch them at The Forum courtesy of Darlington R&B Club 🙂 Tickets here: https://theforumonline.co.uk/events/the-bandits/

Here’s a special one for you….
Ok, I think we might be indoors today….. see you at 5 ish…
I spent a very enjoyable morning catching up with a couple of old mates.
Firstly, I nipped over to the coast to visit Wîlf Víssengä of Ghost Guitar Pickups UK to pick up a cracking tele neck pick up he’s built for me (see pics). It’s an open top (raw nickel open top cover provided by Custom Cooletch) 6.37 DC 2.6 henry hand wound (43 gauge wire) pup voiced to work in a thinline I’m currently building for my own personal use. It was great to hear his take on the needs of a thinline as opposed to a solid body, and to learn that it’ll have a nice stratty tone to it with enhanced mids/treble and decreased woolliness due to the open top. The one I already have in my sunburst solid body is outstanding.
I then nipped over to see Mick Taylor of Stanley-FX . I already have three of Mick’s pedals (which are great) - a goldmine (serial number 0001 !!!) a clean boost (Bandit Boost) and a tremolo (Bob Bates Custom), all custom built for me and sounding great. He’s going to rescue and re-house another old tremolo pedal of mine (I’ll post pics when done) and give a bit of TLC to a man abused pedal board favourite. Great to hear/see/experience a new multi-fx pedal of his in prototype form - I feel very privileged. It sounds amazing! Keep an eye out.
Great to have friends like these. Makes me happy.
Who’s coming? Looking forward to The Crook Hotel this Friday from 9pm sharp 😉
A wee update on the wandering minstrels and troubadours who will be plying their musical wares to entertain you :-)
That’s the “first” one of the 2023 return done - thx The Frog and Ferret Spennymoor 🙂
Looks like we have a Bandits Summer Of Love coming up. Dates for diaries……
The Bandits are back. It’s tonight at The Frog & Ferret in Spennymoor. That’s probably why today is being called Good Friday by everybody 🙂 9pm start. Proper old school pub rock.
Not long now… The count down begins.
