All three have successfully completed their qualification and will be able to drive quality assurance within the organisation! 🍾🎉
The academy is modern, high-spec facility and focus is clearly on learners & staff, providing a really top rate learning environment with great facilities - we are looking forward to many return visits to deliver various course to staff and commercial clients.

Neil is a highly experienced telecoms tutor, delivering training, assessment and EPA nationwide and is already a qualified Assessor/Tutor & an IEPA for telecoms apprenticeships. We've finally been able to get everyone in the same place for the official presentation photo after many weeks!

The purpose of this qualification is to confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required. It is intended for those who maintain and improve the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre and involves conducting internal quality assurance of the assessment process by sample planning, monitoring and advising on the practice of assessors.
The qualification requires all entrants to have up-to-date working knowledge and skills/competence experience of best practice in assessment.

SDL provide various inclusive packages to employers and individuals for this qualification that include bespoke face-to face delivery & distance learning and integrating qualifications into inductions etc.

SDL Training Services supports Mental Health Awareness Week 2023.

The official theme for this year, as set by the Mental Health Foundation, is ‘anxiety’. The ‘Just’ Anxiety?’ campaign aims to help people and organisations to understand the difference between anxiety and anxiety disorders and to confidently seek and signpost each other to the right support.

Common types of anxiety disorders include:

Congratulations to Colin, Senior Training and Compliance Manager at Viberoptix GB, who has achieved his Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA) Internal Quality Assurance qualification!

Colin is highly experienced in Telecoms & Management and has recently set up the new Training Academy at Penrith as part of Viberoptix family and the centre will offer courses that are designed to meet PIA requirements and to deliver the highest standard of training to enable attendees whether new to telecoms or a seasoned professional, there are courses available to suit everyone!

Viberoptix offer teaching & assessment qualifications to their staff as part of their induction and ongoing development, all under Colin’s dedicated leadership via our new partnership with Viberoptix GB.

Steve is a highly experienced telecoms manager who has many developed skills including management of projects, staff management & development & planning training delivery nationwide and is already a qualified Assessor/IQA/Tutor as well as managing & developing the Civils division.

This qualification is for those who lead the internal quality assurance process within a organisation and have responsibility for managing the quality of the assessment process, practice and the
performance of assessors and monitor, support & co-ordinate the work of the IQA team and lead the support/development of trainee IQAs.

North Hykeham, Lincoln, who has been certificated for his Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) Assessor qualification!
Learners being assessed are Adam and Jack from Gigaclear who both were successful in their SA001 Overhead Safety. Two model & keen learners who performed consistently in all areas to a high standard! Both were complimentary on Tom’s delivery of the course without any requests or prompts from ourselves!
Their course included how to work safely from height in an overhead network, undertake risk assessment and demonstrate knowledge of safety precautions.
The assessment activities for this course are a series of practical pole climbing exercises and a final written assessment.

The CAVA accredited qualification involves assessing both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge & understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

Congratulations to Russell, CTM Training Supervisor, Heavy Engineering, at Openreach, on achieving his Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) Assessor qualification.

Russell has been developing his skills & knowledge in learning and development and has already completed his L3 AET Teaching qualification with ourselves.
Learners assessed were Sam and Lee both from Openreach, who were both successful in their Streetworks operative qualification.
