Lone Tree Of Tollesbury | Collection
Essex 19th May

In a remote part of the spectacular Tollesbury Wick Nature Reserve is an old bare tree
standing proud on the baron flood basin of the salt marshes. Perfect for minimal compositions
I returned for Sunrise and Sunset over three days and put this collection together of different angles
and atmosphere. A location I love to spend time down at with so much to offer I have not even scratched the surface.

It’s very exciting that in collaboration of my launch of a “Drone Stock Footage” Platform I have a new London feature Video with a permission DJ track that’s pretty big in the underground scene of the new Phonk genre music that I love. It will be helpful to present an edit with the potential of what my footage can put together. I hope to possible collaborate with some freelance video editors as a well to add additional services to the platform.

Huge lightning and thunder storm over Essex so I jumped out of bed to view the storm from the high rise car park and then got some shots looking up through the town as the storm moved in that direction . Very interesting on fast shutter speed I managed to get a few strikes but this one the best composition.

Reflection Of A Dream

Bradwell Beach | Essex
3rd March 24

A very surreal evening with an unexpected result just situated near St Peters Chapel a little area of coast overlooking the well known Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm with some really nice minimal foreground interest.

The ocean was the most calm flat and reflective I’ve ever seen it and the sky blended with the horizon you couldn’t define it.

I got this composition using my long lens and very little editing needed it was so much like a painting in reality and I like the fact the background has a little motion blur and the foreground sharp to give it some movement.

Another spectacular spot with lots of potential so very excited …

My first visit to shark fin rock down on Ayrmer cove on a pretty overcast day with not much light so I decided to create a minimal capture just using this great rock formation. I took so many shots here because the slightest variations in angles create entirely deferent feels so I went for the low to the sand capture to the right revealing the under side of the rock where there was a nice reflection bouncing off to give it some depth, because most of the images I got were very flat. Don't ask me to pronounce this place though lol

What an evening this was and you would not think by looking at this scene it was high winds and stormy raining overcast all day.

It does not happen often, if at all, that the second I rock up to a location there is a composition one minute walk from the car. It's also a position of boats I’ve not seen at Cape, but was the perfect arrangement to not overcrowd the situation and I love all the lobster pots, nets and ropes to the side. I can imagine this as a magazine cover for a tourist pitch of Cornwall.

What a fun few days storm chasing down on the Cornish coastline this Christmas and I couldn’t have missed my favourite spot off the list for its diversity In wildlife and crazy sunrises and sunsets. So to get the seagulls pin sharp I took a fast shutter shot and because I didn’t have a ND for 24mm I had to stop up to f16 to slow down that shutter to get a detailed swell painting like quality then blended in the sky taken second before the long exposure, the sky was full of seagulls nothing composited, full moon and crazy clouds with stunning sunrise colours. Everything was there to make my favourite capture of this location so far. No AI all real

I was down Cornwall for the Christmas period with an aim to get storm photography and storm footage but it was not looking good at the beginning with not much swell and never ending rain but some good luck came in and we got high winds coupled with some decent waves. I went into action mode and was out morning and evening for four days in a row to get all the footage I needed and some long overdue storm captures.
Coastal storm chasing is my favourite part of photography by a long shot “pardon the pun”

The RMS Mülheim was a German cargo ship that was built in Romania and launched in May 1999. It was wrecked on 22 March 2003 at Land's End

Going to name this new film “A Cornish Winter Swell” because it wasn’t a storm as far as what constitutes a storm. I feel like a storm is something you batten down the hatches for !! .. but it was bloody windy nonetheless and pretty crazy seas lol Can’t wait to edit this one … need to find the soundtrack now thinking something Celtic but dramatic

Great Sphinx of Giza
27th November 2023

[Single Exposure]
F8

The Great Sphinx is among the world’s largest sculpture and was carved from a single piece of limestone.
It was so nice to get the full moon in moon set mode with sunrise just as the complex gates opened I ran to position before it set behind the horizon and I really liked shooting in monochrome, I think its suits this landscape to bring out all the detail.
There is a new theory that is not widely accepted that the Sphinx head was re-carved from a lions head to a Pharaoh and there are some contractions in dating. To be honest the head does look disproportionate to the lions body and being that these people were perfectionist to a degree that surpasses even modern art today it does seem odd to me when your stood in front of it.
Very memorable morning calm and peaceful until the complex gets flooded out by midday ..

The Pyramids Of Giza
27th November 2023

F8

I think this capture makes for a good reality representation of the The Pyramids showing the city of Cairo being so close as opposed to the more social media posts that can present this remote paradise in the middle of the desert. It’s also very crucial to remember this is literally a life line for a very struggling population and income from tourism plays such a vital role. Cairo is extremely populated place and living standards are pretty low for most so it’s a shame I think, they have this incredible history the world need to see and they shouldn’t be struggling in this area. I managed to get this capture at a view point on the long lens and I can not wait to print this because the detail on the foreground is very interesting to look in close and see this mass of building. It was still pretty hot and sunny when I was there so I was very lucky I was told, to see the pyramids from this point because usually very bad visibility.

I really want to go back to Egypt and explore the less commercial areas and see more incredible art its extremely inspiring and its just perplexing the precision in anything they did is far supreme it must had been a civilisation devoted to art and creating.

Pyramids of Giza | Egypt
26th November 2023
[Seven Pano]

A very spontaneous trip to Cairo a life time goal location for me to finally see the Pyramids with a full moon alignment moonset with sunrise. Absolutely incredible short two day trip but got so much done and seen everything I wanted to in this area and got some real luck with conditions for this time of year. The Pyramids eluded my mind more in person than any photo or film I’ve seen and I’m still perplexed from the site and art works featured in the museum and city. I still can’t believe you can get a short five hour flight from England relatively cheap and see donkeys and horses running down motorways with total culture shock intensity. This capture is a seven capture stitched panoramic and I was really happy with getting a little cloud rather than pure blue sky which this climate is famous for. The next day was really cloudy and couldn’t see the moon so got very lucky and had the morning walking around the site to myself taking it in until the crowds turned up. The pollution in Cairo and chaos is too much so two days was fine and the harassment is pretty non stop but the people are in survival mode so its just humble disposition for them you have to take with respect. When you look at the art work precision and masterful presentation it does make you feel like they were a more advanced society.

Wrabness Nature Reserve Ship Wreck | Essex
12th Nov 23

1/5 sec
RF 24mm 1.8
Iso 400

This was my third visit to a very interesting nature reserve and area on the estuary overlooking Felixstowe with this almost put there by design shipwreck next to the only standing tree on the marshes. I really wanted a fog filled scene with that on the weather conditions prediction and it was my third attempt at getting it, but unfortunately it was only a deep frost however we had this stunning sunrise with this soft layered cloud in one direction that I had to get but also making the composition work with facing the area of this outstanding sky vibrancy. So It took a while and many shots but I managed to get an angle that separated the boat and tree nicely. I think its a nice calming scene and I got a lot out of the raw file in the shadows but think I should have done a three exposure bracket blend but was too rushed off my feet to capture the short sky display. It’s for sure a return visit to achieve the fog image I have in my head but a nice capture nonetheless I’m happy to post.
