Sam Gibson Evangelist
I was born and grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe to British parents who were originally from East Belfast who moved to Southern Africa in the 1950s.
I returned to these shores nearly 18 years ago and have been living in Northern Ireland with my wife and son. As a community evangelist I like what Lord Beaverbrook has said: "The evangelist is the man who has the greatest capacity for doing good and influence the lives of people for eternity." My focus for this ministry page is to encourage and challenge friends and relatives to fully follow God.

I've been looking at 1st Peter for quite a few weeks.
Peter talks about Submission to one another.
That's not a very popular concept today when everyone wants to be their own Lord.
Peter talks about how that should look in the work place and in the home.
Slaves, servants (workers) in reverant fear submit to your masters
Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your husband
Husbands, in the same way...be considerate as you live with your wives...treat them with respect.
But before we complain or start arguing stop and consider our Lord's example.
The one who deserved all the glory, all the praise, all the power stooped down and was his disciples feet and as it says in philippians
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-even death on a cross!
Jesus willingly submitted to the will of the father; willingly took on the nature of a servant, willingly became a man; willingly bore or sin.
Submission is not weakness. It is the confident acceptance of the sovereignty of God.

King Of Kings
/
Lyrics
In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope, without light
'Til from Heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross
For even in your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake you died
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
And the morning that You rose
All of Heaven held its breath
'Til that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who'd come
To the Father are restored
And the church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel, shall not faint
By His blood and in His name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
Praise forever to the King of Kings

Looking back- Zimbabwe 2017 short message. I'm thankful for this opportunity.
As a community evangelist I like what Lord Beaverbrook has said: "The evangelist is the man who has the greatest capacity for doing good and influence the lives of people for eternity."
My focus for this ministry page is to encourage and challenge friends and relatives to fully follow God. My priority is to point people to Christ, and I am thankful that over 200 people received the Saviour in the last 3 visits to Zimbabwe.
This work can only be fruitful when relying on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Please pray for door-to-door visitation, church lunches at Castlereagh Baptist, men's Bible studies, guest services, men's breakfasts and ministry in Zimbabwe.
