St Mary’s Church, Thirsk (available on my Etsy store, link in bio🛍)
A medieval building, with sections of the tower that could be as old as the 12th Century! The grooves worn into the frame of the porch were apparently made by local men sharpening their weapons before marching into battle in the Civil War ⚔️

It’s believed that the chalybeate spring beneath this temple was discovered by William Slingsby in 1571. It’s the oldest known spring in Harrogate! The current cover was designed back in 1807

The Majestic Hotel, Harrogate.
What a building! It opened on the 18th July 1900 and has seen many visitors over the years including Winston Churchill.
The first of many historical Harrogate buildings I’ll be illustrating for my next town print. I’ve also added this one to Etsy as a stand alone print 🖼🛍

A few tweaks later and it’s now available! 🖼 I’m certainly going to do more North East landmarks soon, my family are all from that part of the country so it’s a very special place! 🥰

The Keepers Carriage, Ripon. A reminder of how important horse drawn transport was in the early 20th century 🐴 it’s been fixed in place in the market place since 1999.
