The question we still get asked the most (apart from where the public toilets are 😬) is ‘Are all our chocolates made here, in the shop?’

They’re not only made here in the shop but made without any preservatives or additives and where we can they are made with produce from here in Melrose.

This Lavender which will infuse the Chocolate ganache is from my garden and the Honey has been very kindly gifted to us from a good customer of ours from her very own Melrose bees 🐝

You really can’t get a better provenance than that and a very good reason to keep shopping locally.

Due to popular demand (and as we seem to have skipped straight to Autumn 🍂) …. Our first batch of 2024 ‘Toffee Apple’ chocolates🍎is now ready in the shop. If you love all things Autumnal then these are definitely for you !

We love our dog visitors to Simply Delicious and on Saturday Priorwood Garden in Melrose are hosting a Dogs Day Out with some dog competitions!

Yay the sun is shining! We are open until 7.30 tonight so pop in later for an ice cream!

Not 180 but £280! Thank you thank you thank you to all the customers who put their spare change in our collecting tin. We have recently handed over £280 from the last few tins to the Friends of the Borders General Hospital.

We are great believers in supporting the BGH and helping a local cause very close to our hearts. Recently the Friends have been supporting many wards and departments buying items to make the life of patients, staff and relatives a little bit easier buying tvs, coffee machines, freezers, garden improvements to name just a few.

The really nice bit is we receive a handwritten letter saying thanks and we know every little helps.

We are open late tonight for the Installation of Melrosian Robin and the crowning of this years Festival Queen, what a lovely evening to come down and watch

No more empty shop across the road from us - it's been a big miss with Tickety Boo having moved and it's better for the town to have occupied shops. We are delighted to have a new neighbour opening across the road. Another new shop bringing something new to the town. Priorwood Antiques.

Simply Delicious will be open later tonight as it’s going to be a lovely evening for the Junior ride out. ☀️

We look forward to seeing all our young riders later this evening when they pass by.

We are recruiting for some weekend and summer shifts leading to more weekend shifts after the summer when some of our team go off to uni. Must be 16 years or over. Full training provided. Melrose Sevens this weekend. Wishing all the players and spectators a great day of rugby today and tomorrow.
We are open all weekend as normal so please pop in if you are there or not for tablet, sweets, chocolates and of course ice cream! The parking isn't restricted outside the shop and we will be open from 10-4 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday.

Lots of activity in Melrose today with an Easter egg trail at Priorwood and Harmony Gardens NTS and the Easter Bunny has made an appearance at The Trimontium Trust & Museum . Pop down to the town and enjoy the Easter weekend.

Delighted to have one litre tubs of Giacopazzi's ice cream in the new freezer in the shop. Original, Vanilla & Tablet, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Raspberry Ripple and Mint Choc Chip. Perfect for a treat at home.

Today is the first day of The Melrose Traders competition for Easter.

There are 22 letters on the Easter eggs in the shop windows around the town. Entry is free, work out the Easter phrase with the letters and you are in with a chance of winning a chocolate Easter hamper.

You can pick up entry forms from Treetop Toys, Natural Crafts and Simply Delicious.

Entry starts on 23rd March and closes on Saturday 30th March and the winner will be announced on Easter Sunday.
The lucky prize winner can pick up their prize from Easter Sunday.

Mother's Day today. Today will have lots of meanings for each of us. For some it's an opportunity to cherish the Mums we are fortunate to have. For some not so, remembering those no longer here so we don't go over the top with it in the shop.

For us we are grateful to all the Mums out there who come in and support us here at Simply Delicious who come in and treat their friends and families to something from the shop. We are also grateful to those who have come in and bought treats for their Mums from here for today.

It's also 9 years today since we took over the shop and it's been full on, fabulous fun and we have met so many wonderful people so to all our customers and current and former staff we thank you for your support and we look forward to some sunnier days ahead!

Delighted to see The Trimontium Trust & Museum is opening up again on Friday 9th February in time for half term. Such a brilliant place to visit in Melrose.
