DNA is a literary micro magazine devoted to flash pieces of life writing. Created as part of my third year Creative Enterprise module at Bath Spa University
Despite what Andy Warhol may have said, not everyone will get their fifteen minutes of fame. Very few people will live interesting lives worthy of being recorded in published memoirs and autobiographies. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t have stories that deserve sharing – extraordinary tales from seemingly ordinary lives. Storytelling is an essential part of our cultural DNA, after all. DNA is
the literary micro magazine for anyone curious about the lives and experiences of others. It is devoted to the craft of detailing personal memories and sharing them with other people. It peers through the front window of someone’s life to get a split-second snapshot of a human experience before walking on. We’re looking for pieces that surprise us with a different way of seeing the world, pieces that move us to tears or laughter. Tell us about those unique moments that could only have happened to you. We accept pieces of creative non-fiction (prose or poetry) based around the lives of real people.
