Hey guys, heavy post alert (and thanks to for inspiring this).
I’ve never talked publicly about the struggles I was going through during and post Covid (even now, at times). The best answer I can come up with is that shame is the culprit. Shame is what keeps us in our mental prisons, so I’m trying something new.
When I, like everyone else, lost control of all things during COVID, I turned to controlling my food and exercise regime. It crept up on me, and before I knew it, I was dealing with restrictive eating.
Before that, I really thought I was Invincible, physically and mentally. I am fortunate to have a supportive, loving family, with a happy childhood, despite some family tragedies. I was that annoyingly confident, outspoken child who thought she was the 💩
And I keep trying to find my way back to her, which is a large reason I turned to music. Aside from giving me that confidence, energy and creative fulfilment, it also pulled me out of a hole, in pushing me to leap out of a job. This gave me time to rebuild and reconnect with my love for so many things, including myself.
I’m not sharing this for any reason other than to bring our internal battles into the light, instead of hide them away. I think it’s important to sometimes drop the facade of social media, because we will all be living with it, for better or worse.
We can choose to use it for empowerment, and not as a filter, the latter of which I am guilty (I am aware of the irony of posting a professional shot. What can I say, i’m still learning).
But it is hard, I know. We’re all in a rat race to convince each other that everything is bright and dandy, all of the time. It’s funny to think about it, I actually am laughing as I type this (tip: you have to laugh). 😂
So to conclude, we all go through 💩 Let’s not be ashamed to talk about it. We are warriors for taking what life throws at us and making lemonade, or whatever your drink of choice may be.
Not sure how to end this after spilling my soul, but thanks for your time and attention x
We always love the Spotify Wrapped! 🤘🏻🎁
I find it hard to measure my progress in this music biz, but to know that I could walk from NYC to Boston (twice) because that’s how many times you’ve listened to my songs make me very proud and grateful. THANK YOU!! 👏🏻☺️
Ps I will NOT be walking from New York to Boston.

Frappuccino Friday, with a side of good times 🧋🌞🍹🔥
What’s eerrbody up to this weekend? x
Thank you sooo much to Future Radio for having me on the show this morning! 🤩 I arrived a little stressed out of my mind cause of the rush hour traffic (who knew!) but had such a great chat with Tom and talked all things music, gigs and 🙌🏻
Highly recommend tuning in to the show for those Norwich based, and hope to be back soon 👏🏻
It’s Fri-yay, which means 😏 It’s time for the weekend ‼️ But also lots of wonderful music announcements happen on a Friday, like this:
My new spooky-pop single, ‘Little Bad’, drops on 27th October, before Rudolph takes over the sound waves and just in time for Halloween 👻 Pretty please pre-save this in my bio link, it really helps.
Jack Murphy worked his wizardry on the track and it’s one of my favourites. The amazing Andi Sapey captured this shot of me doing strange things with my hands for the artwork.
Also, hot off the press, the fabulous Laura T Music has just released her new single, which is a TUNE and a half. Go check it 🤗 Thank you and have a wicked weekend 😈 x
Daydreaming about my next single. Comment with a 🫶 if you fancy a lil teaser before I announce the release date.
So I’ll be branching out with my first official London gig, and couldn’t be happier to be performing at the wonderful The Star In Shoreditch ! Please come along if you can, tickets are here 👉🏻 https://bit.ly/3rjNjXB

Can’t complain about writing songs in the garden on summer evenings 🌞🪴

Any chance to quote Taylor Swift 😏
What a pretty place it is 😍⛰️
So chuffed to be featured as record of the week on The Russ Evans Music Show alongside other amazing artists! THANK YOU 🙌🏻🥹
Lowlights make the highlights worth while (but they’re still tough).
So I’ve mentioned before that this journey has been pretty special. From filming music videos to touring summer festivals, I’ve had some amazing experiences and met fantastic people along the way. I was also part of an unsigned programme with mentorship that taught me so much about the industry and myself.
But, while social media is great for advertising the highlights, I think it’s just as important to acknowledge the difficult moments (spoiler: we all have them).
The music industry can be quite tricky to navigate. There have been many times where I have questioned my decision to go into it full time, and many more times where I have doubted myself. Imposter syndrome is a thing! It sucks!
I have a tendency to run away with high hopes, and take the disappointments hard, and I know I’m not alone in that. At times, it’s challenged my resilience and my love for my art, but I have grown so much from this, and will continue to. I can’t help but love what I get to do every day, despite the obstacles.
So, this is not a sympathy post (although we should be empathetic towards each other, always) because I realise how privileged I am to be able to do what I do. But let’s normalise sharing the stuff that isn’t always pretty.
Thanks for sticking by me and encouraging my dreams! You guys rock 🤘🏻🥹
Some pre-gig shots from , trying not to look as nervous as I feel for playing the waterfront 😅
Being featured on a local station is always such a great feeling 🙌🏻 I also recently performed at Future Radio’s very first festival and it was so much fun! 💃
It's a brand new month and we're bringing you a brand new local playlist to be the soundtrack this August!

When the nephew vibes to your song 🕺🏻🤘🏻
Huge thank you to for this review of ‘Pretty’. 🤩 It’s streaming everywhere now, but you’ll also find a link in my bio 🥰 x
Can’t wait to open the garden stage at 12:30 today, for the very first Future Fest. The sun may even come out!! 🤞🏻🌞
Monday’s are for essay’s, so here I go:
Yesterday was one to remember! I have so many thank you’s to say. My band and fellow unsigned artists, you are all incredible and will no doubt continue smashing it in the music scene. My mentors, the confidence and knowledge you have provided me with is beyond words. The Garage, what a truly amazing organisation you are. 🙏🏻
I won’t lie, making the decision to step into music full time has been both wonderful and tough. There are days when I feel on top of the world, and others where I lose all faith in myself as a musician. It’s an industry which provides unparalleled experiences but also makes you question yourself a lot, with very little positive reinforcement.
But, we do it because we love it, and I really do love it. I am also very fortunate to have the support that I do. To everyone who came out to see us last night, and those who continue to follow me on this journey, you are the reason I keep going! 🥹
Following your passion is not always an easy feat, but I promise, it’s worth it (mostly) 😉🤗
*** New Merch ***
Not gonna lie, my inner child is having a rave right now in all things pink and blue. 💗💙 In celebration of my venture into pop music, created this incredible artwork, which is plastered on T-shirts, Hoodies and Totes.
You can find them in my bio link, and once again, 25% of all profits go to who do incredible work. 🦏

Some more behind the scene shots from the music video for ‘Pretty’, which drops on 4th August. We had the best time filming this, although the editing process is keeping me busy 😅
I wanted to do something to support the incredible efforts of ‘Save the Rhino’, and so I’m launching a campaign to raise any funds, no matter how big or small.
It’s pretty scary to think that one Rhino is poached every 16 hours, so if you can help out in any way, even checking our their website savetherhino.org and spreading awareness, it’ll go a long way.
Me and the Rhino’s say thank you! 🦏
Any Lowestoft friends out there, I’ll be at this wonderful venue on Wednesday!! 😊
Our Midweek Music on Wednesday 19 July will be the amazing Indie folk singer Cara Knox Music 🎸

*Rhi-know you will not want to miss this!* 😬
The Rhino conservation effort is a cause that’s really close to my heart. Growing up in South Africa, I was fortunate to witness this incredible species first hand (in fact, I nearly physically collided with one, but that’s a story for another time) 🦏
So, I have officially pledged to donate 25% of my merch profits to , who do incredible work in aid of protecting Rhino’s across Africa and Asia.
Please go have a browse of my merch store (link in bio) or visit ‘Save the Rhino Internarional’ to find out more about the work they do. Also, keep your eyes peeled for new merch designs by 👀
Love and puns, always x
So I’ve nearly been doing this “full time musician” biz for 6 months. It’s crazy how the time has flown. I’ve already met so many wonderful humans, had incredible experiences and learned a ton about myself. And it kinda feels like it’s just the beginning.
Thank you for supporting and following my journey. You’re all rock stars 🤩
