The façade treatment at Dolce & Gabbana Canton Road evokes an appearance with its multi-layered frame-on-frame effect, all brought completely up to date by the use of expertly quarried and matched marble and finely tuned colour selectable linear LED.

Our undertook hundreds of hours of research, testing thousands of combinations of materials, colours, qualities and intensities of light. The result is a formula which is now closely guarded by

This converted mews house is practically an essay in theory: a perfectly white , rendered in any palette of the owners choosing at the touch of a button. The light is cleverly shared between the various of the house, so the shower becomes a lantern to illuminate the stairwell and the skylight over the bed becomes a lightbox in the lounge. All very funky!

Having moved into a temporary office space in St. Katherine Docks in London, Gensler used its time in a transitory space to prototype new ways of working that have now been implemented into the new HQ named Moretown. It was a chance for them to experiment, reinvent and to identify innovations which were incorporated into the new permanent office space.

HSBC headquarters was "more than just a building" says Norman Foster

This iconic building set a milestone in the skyline of Hong Kong. Mindseye were brought on board for the refurbishment of the HSBC Main Building, to work alongside Foster + Partners and One Space on specific floors and including a study and media facade. The brief by Dow Jones Architects was to enhance the architecture and features in the crypt of Hawksmoor's Christ Church Spitalfields, being refurbished to make a performance space, cafe and gallery. Indirect light treatment is used throughout the entire space; depending on the function of the room additional layers of light can be added.

When the Grade II listed Dorothy Annan Murals were relocated to the Barbican Centre, Mindseye was asked to do the lighting. We designed a bespoke profile that would host and disguise the necessary luminaires. The light simulates the sun shining at the mural, emphasising the colours and texture of the tiles which depict the British telecommunications industry of the 1960's.

After 150 years the 'Sinking Shaft' created by engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel is now accessible to the public thanks to a staircase designed by Tate Harmer as part of a wider masterplan for the Brunel Museum, in collaboration with Grimshaw Architects. Mindseye's lighting concept helped to reveal the beauty of the existing space with minimal intervention and maximum effect.

The latter part of the 20th century and beginning of the 21st may well be remembered for the rise of the uber sophisticated consumer. Not only aware of fashion in clothing, they are also very aware of their social environment. Hence the rise of the architect designed bar and restaurant. Perhaps surprisingly, our advice to the client for the restaurant was simple; use candles.

White Cube perhaps more than any other gallery defines the now predominant approach to lighting contemporary art. A completely even light in all directions. The art speaks for itself, regardless of its position within the gallery. No need here for attention grabbing spot lighting. Warm and daylight colour lamps are blended to achieve the perfect colour, according to each exhibition's requirements.

Inspiration can strike at any moment. A passing truck loaded with septic tanks was the 'Road to Damascus' for us when we were struggling to find a 2.8m diameter pendant for the entrance to this young fashion area - Selfridges Spiritzone, architecture by Softroom.
