ROOT-ed Zine
ROOT-ed is a self-published zine, and social platform, that promotes, supports and represents creative People of Colour within the North West of England.
This is the LAST weekend to see our exhibition! 💜
Here's more pics of our Retrospect, Reality and Reform exhibition at ! As we draw our thoughts and reflections on the last month of our exhibition (Closes 22nd Jan 2023!) we continue to adapt and change to the harsh realities of life, and how it's so short but so complicated to navigate. Thankfully, art can provide a cathartic break from this, and we hope you can use our Reflections and Archive room (image 1) to do just this, in which you can also contribute to GURI work with postcards available within, browse zines from us and other creators, and take a minute.

Long time no see! 😆✨👋🏽💜🧡⭐️📗
We’ve missed our ROOT-ed fam so much but we’re back with some exciting news!
In October we’ll be opening our exhibition at with an incredible group of artists and to coincide with this exhibition we want to also make a zine that expands on some of the themes of the show as well as to use as a sort of journal for us, and the exhibiting artists, to reflect on the show and the process.
Since the tetley is in Leeds, we’re also opening up submissions to include creatives from Yorkshire ☺️
There will be a small fee for those who are selected and so we highly encourage you to only submit existing work.
✨DEADLINE - MIDDAY 31 AUGUST ✨

Who's you're favourite contemporary artist at the moment? Musically for me, it's FKA Twigs, Solange and Cleo Sol - artistically, I'm loving Ren Hang and Jesse Kanda!
We're certainly all are in need of some Self Care at the moment. We know It can be super hard to put yourself first and look after your wellbeing, but small steps always lead to something big! Love from ROOT-ed x
This is such an incredible book that highlights painters in Liverpool! It’s amazing to see so many familiar faces including university tutors, artists we’ve worked with and even my Nan! Make sure to get a copy of this book and support your local artist 🎨
