The Smuggler The Smuggler is a water blooping, rattling, walker with an incredible life-like swimming bird action. Fitted with a long trailing tail to simulate tail feathers, a matching head feather and colors to imitate the most common birds that big fish feed on.

We've managed to obtain some Black Magic harnesses to sell without the the Gimbal butt pad. We have both sizes; Standard and XL so if you want to be able to accommodate any size crew member you can do it now without having to buy a whole new set. Stainless steel hooks are great if you want to keep rusty marks off your boat but not so great if you want to catch big fish as well. These Mustad 7691S both bent on big bluefin hooked on spreader bars and both straightened enough to allow the fish to escape.

We always recommend carbon steel hooks when targetting big tuna, marlin and sharks. Even more so when spreader bars are used as they generate a huge amount of drag when a tuna runs fast and can easily bend anything but the very strongest hook.

We recommend our Bristow Big game hooks for giant tuna trolling. hand made in Japan from high carbon steel with a tough tinned finish we've never heard of one bending yet.
