Active Hastings is hosted by Hastings Borough Council, in partnership with East Sussex County Council You can even break it down into 10 minute slots.

Active Hastings is the easy, fun way to get your everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 30 minutes a day for adults and 60 a day for children to get fitter, healthier and happier. We have activities for all ages and abilities from walks in the park to zumba and netball to tai chi. So, whether you're a fitness freak or a couch potato, from 2 to 102, we've got something to suit you.

On Saturday we had a brilliant time at our free Saturday Community Fun Day, at the Broomgrove Community Centre! Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a brilliant success!

During the day we enjoyed table tennis, basketball and dodgeball and everyone enjoyed making mini light up lanterns to take home.

If you need a bit of extra motivation to get moving during the colder months, Heidi’s got you covered! Heidi runs two Creating a Healthier You sessions, a low impact and low intensity exercise class, that makes you feel great!

Exercises vary each week, so you’ll never get bored! Exercises include low impact aerobics, weights, stretch, circuits and conditioning. All exercises have adaptions or alternatives to make the class suitable for all levels, hard and easy options available.

🟢 Tuesdays, 10am to 11am at the Broomgrove Commnuity Centre
This class is FREE, with thanks to funding from NHS Sussex.

These classes are for people who have a BMI over 30 (or 27.5 for those of Black or Asian ethnic background) alongside either diabetes and/or hypertension, or have been through an Active Hastings Adult Weight Management course.

WEIGHTED NEURO GYM SESSION
Every Tuesday 6pm to 7pm
Play Sport - Fitness Hub, Elphinstone Road, Hastings

A weighted exercise class, at the gym, designed to improve your range of movement, balance, strength, cardiovascular fitness and coordination. The class is led by a fully qualified Exercise Specialist for Neurological conditions.

This class is suitable for people aged 18 to 60, with neurological conditions, such as: Early Onset Parkinson’s, MS and Fibromyalgia.

To help keep this class going, the suggested ticket price is £3, however, if the cost is a barrier, we have different ticket options available.

This class is subsidized with thanks to funding from Parkinson's UK

On Monday we were excited to be joined by the film crew from Active Sussex at our Walking Football session at Summerfields Leisure Centre!

The Active Sussex team chatted to players and watched a game in action! Our Walking Football session is part of the Active Sussex 'Stronger for Life campaign' which aims to improve strength and balance, the film will be part of their campaign promotion to showcase whats happening in Hastings!

Tired of trying to keep up with the kids, grandchildren or mates? Then why not come along to Active Hastings’ new non-judgemental friendly Men’s Fitness: Strength and Conditioning session. A circuit style session, that focuses on body weight strength training. Open to all men who live in Hastings or St Leonards.

The Friday Night Project starts this Friday (25 October)- have you booked your free place?
For teens in year 8 and above (aged 12 to 17).

Join us at Horntye Park on Friday 25 October, from 6.30pm to 9pm, for team games (including: football, basketball, tennis, badminton and dodgeball), chill out in the hub (for games, crafts and snacks) or take part in exercise classes and a dance party.

There's something for everyone and best of all it's completely free for the whole evening, with free snacks too!

Our very popular table tennis session with Table Tennis Rother is back for half term, book your place early to avoid disappointment, as this session fills very quickly.
