We were delighted to be invited to deliver a Move for Your Mood workshop for Sporting Memories . Thanks to colleagues from Fife Active Schools and Fife Health and Social Care Partnership who supported delivering the session.

Moving more has many benefits for our mental health and we know it improves our mood. This workshop helped the group explore ways of bringing more movement into their day.

Some of our Fife Volunteers enjoyed an excellent workshop today delivered by Active Fife helping us all to understand the importance of Movement for Mood for members (and volunteers too). Thank you Amy, Emily and Caitlin.

👌

We have groups across Fife every Monday 7pm - https://andysmanclub.co.uk/full-club-lists/

8 YEARS AGO TO THE DAY 🗓️

Was the start of a campaign called 👌

The idea was you take a selfie 🤳 tag 5 friends and copy and paste below ⬇️

Within 4 weeks it had reached 100 million people, now classified as one of the biggest movements ever online and was trending world world on all platforms… why?

Because people wanted to talk!

“The single biggest killer of men aged under 45 is su***de.

That’s 12 men every day, one man every 2 hours!

41% of men who contemplated su***de, felt they couldn’t talk about their feelings.

Only 20% of the U.K know that su***de is the most likely cause of death for men under 45.
(This will have changed now!)

Let’s show men all across the world that .

Take a selfie with the okay 👌🏼 sign, tag 5 friends and let’s get the message out that it’s okay to talk.

Hopefully together we can bring the numbers down. ”

8 years ago this campaign went viral and since that day we’ve helped 4500+ men a week at our 200+ groups…

Don’t stop shouting the message… let’s keep growing the awareness and smashing the stigmas 👊🏽💥❤️
