Beautiful new and used furniture and home accessories! Reloved, upcyled or created to bring love and joy to new or current owners!

Beautiful Shabby Chic Furniture. All of my furniture is lovingly upcycled using either Annie Sloane or Frenchic chalk paint finished with either a wax, lacquer or wax varnish for protection. Some items are also lightly distressed for an aged look. Any soft furnishings and decorative items supplied are made using quality fabrics. Joanie's Attic is inspired by my wonderfully creative Nan. The sink unit is now complete and the final section of doors are going back on… now with the kitchen units complete I am turning my attention to the dining set… the table has been sanded and varnished, painted and waxed and it’s the dining chairs next… the primer is going on!

The first section of doors are back in place. Still some small adjustments needed but they definitely look smarter! Swipe to remind yourself of the before!

Upper sections ready for laquer. The kickboards and base end board have had 2 coats of undercoat so ready for painting. The change is really lightening the kitchen!

New commission! My lovely client bought her home with this mismatched kitchen but it’s in good condition. So we are painting it an antique white with updated modern shiny chrome hardware. Pictures to follow as we go!

First small commission of the year… losing the gilt frame and going for something more neutral and understated so the print stands out instead of the frame! It is definitely allowing the print to come to the fore! First coat on and drying! Using one of my favourite neutrals Country Grey Chalk Paint. This is going to be paired with white wax for a more relaxed coastal feel.

There is something magical about candlelight and a fire!! (The fireplace is still mid redec after the stove was fitted recently)

By Jove I think I’ve done it! Lol!
My aim was for the wooden mantle to blend seamlessly with the cast insert!

This photo shows part of the cast insert which has been reblackened and is next to the newly completed wooden mantle. (All currently situated on my dining table as messy work is taking place in the master ensuite today!).

Before and After… I never get tired of the transformation once you add the wax!! Annie Sloan Graphite Chalk Paint and Black Wax.

Working on the mantle for the newly renovated master en-suite. More photo’s to come once the room is decorated and it is installed along with the newly blackened cast insert!
I think it will work perfectly with the mix of greens from The Little Greene Paint Company and the “Blackthorn” wallpaper! 🥰💚 #

A nice little fireplace update for a neighbour following a new colour scheme in their lounge! Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Cream and a blend of clear and dark wax to provide a feeling of age. No more orange pine equals one happy neighbour!

Amazing what you can do with an old gilt wooden picture frame, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and a mixture of white and clear wax, a floating shelf and some decor pieces I had lying around!
Result… 3D wall Art for the guest bedroom!

Delivery day and trying a couple of new colours... Svenska Blue described as a blue grey and the very vibrant Capri Pink. Am also trialling the Matt Laquer. I have used the gloss and it has a soft satin sheen that builds up depending on how many layers you choose to add. So will be interested to see the difference in the matt.

A quick Sunday afternoon upcycle... goodbye orange pine... hello Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Scandinavian Pink! Just a simple, elegant paint. No distressing, stencilling or decal techniques...just paint and clear wax! It works so well in our quiet chill out/reading/spare bedroom! Am loving the mix of colours in this room! , ,

So excited for this new colour Capri Pink!!

I could see it on some great BOHO style pieces with Barcelona Orange, Provence, Antibes to name just a few! It is a lovely rich clean pink that mixed with white become a soft gentle pink so can be bright, exciting and bold as well as warm, soft and calming too! Thanks Annie! 💖💖
