Hi everyone, my friend Brad is walking the length of Hadrian's wall to raise money for Tiny Lives, a charity that helps families with premature babies. Tiny Lives have been close to his family recently and I thought I'd give him a bit of a leg up by posting about it on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated ๐

Hi everyone, just a quick note to say that I'm back to work as normal on Monday. I'm feeling much better and we have had a great (but exhausting) week off with the grandchildren. I'm looking forward to seeing all the doggies ๐ ๐.
When you realise there's no Monday morning alarm!
That Friday feeling before a long bank holiday weekend! If you are off, enjoy. If not don't work too hard ๐
Pooped pooches, including the beautiful Nala, who passed her trial night with flying colours. We can not wait to look after her again, she is lovely ๐๐ฅฐ
Well, I'm not sure how it happened but Dogs about Town is 7 years old today. The time has flown by. Once again, a massive thank you to all of our customers past and present for making this possible. I love my job (yes, even when I'm moaning about how much rain there has been) and could not see myself doing anything else.
On a more sombre note, he have lost a couple of pack members over the last 12 months. Winston and Kip, the OG pack passed away within 2 weeks of each from old age. They are still missed and thought about all of the time. RIP boys, you will always be part of the pack ๐ถโค๏ธ
Handsome boys (Bailey should have been in the group shot but he's found a ball ๐) ๐
Due to a cancellation, we now have availability over the Easter weekend. If you are interested, and your dog hasn't stayed with us before, please get in touch ASAP due to us requiring a trial stay.
Tough job this boarding malarky ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Here are some pictures of our lovely boarding guests for the last week. Wendy the Italian Greyhound is causing havoc and Ruby (Miniature Yorkshire Terrier) has started to get involved. Finley (Golden Retriever) wants to join in but doesn't realise he's a bit too big to be playing with these two tiny ladies. Meanwhile, Nutmeg (Corgi and Wendy's sister from another mister) and Rosie (our long suffering Staffy) try and stay out of the way of the crazy kids ๐๐ฆฎ
If you would your pup to be loved and cared for while you are on holiday, we are fully licensed and 5 star rated by the council, please get in touch. We still have a little availability in March and April ๐
Another great week with this bunch of lunatics on our secure field. Taking on the field really has made a great job even better, all I have to worry about now is the pups getting too excited when playing and how I'm going to get all that mud cleaned up ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐ถ๐
As you can see, Bella is having a very stressful evening ๐คฃ๐คฃ
The beautiful Tula also joined us for her weekend holiday with us ๐๐
I'm getting the feeling that it might be tea time ๐คฃ๐ถ
We got this week off to a great (if a little windy) start with this gorgeous bunch this morning.
Snooooooooooooowwwwwww Daaaaaaayyyyyyyyy ๐ถโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ
This handsome devil is Bobby, a wire haired viszla who joined the pack today. He's as mad as a box of frogs ๐คฃ๐คฃ
A break from the rain and the pups are loving the sunshine. I'm lovng not having to spend ages cleaning them. Except Harry of course ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Back at it after the Christmas break with this bunch of troublemakers. It's been very muddy but they seem to love it ๐
We also had a successful trial night last night with the devilishly handsome Finley ๐๐ค
I can heartily recommend Lyndsey, she is amazing. I always recommend Lyndsey when somebody asks me about training.
Hi, Iโm Lyndsey, face behind Itโs Simply The Pets ๐
I am totally animal mad & have been since the day I was born!
When it comes to training with us, you can expect ๐
๐งก A kind ethos towards your beloved pets AND you
๐งก A realistic approach. Iโll never judge when it all gets too much. (We have been fostering a very quirky boy called Basil so I understand first-hand how challenging it can be)
๐งก The best for your dogs. Iโm a fully qualified Hoopers instructor (low impact agility for dogs), certified dog trainer, studied animals at college, uni and am OBSESSED with ongoing learning to deliver you the best.
We love helping with ๐
โญ๏ธ CONFIDENCE (both for owners and dogs) whether working around dogs, people, noises - whatever youโre struggling with, we can help!
โญ๏ธ LEAD-WALKING - for some breeds this will be a lifestyle you need to uphold and maintain, but for others itโs as easy as a couple of little tweaks.
โญ๏ธ RECALL - off-lead freedom is just the best and watching dogs running about the beach or a field with no worry about them never coming back is what we want to help you achieve!
โญ๏ธ We are also known for our professional PUB DOG TRAINING ๐ Nothing beats heading to a lovely country pub after a nice walk with a chilled pup by your feet.
โญ๏ธ PUPPIES!!! Prevention is better than cure so we can start them off right. Lots of people come to us when they have a new dog as they worry they will end up reactive again like their pets before. We can see the warning signs and set you off on the right track.
Want to work with us? ๐
๐ฆด We have weekly group Hoopers classes & limited 1:1 availability for reactive dogs that struggle in group settings.
๐ฆด Lifeskills classes are where we practice training games around distractions to help with lovely lead walking and becoming a professional pub dog ๐
๐ฆด We also do 121 Virtual Training so no matter where you are in the world - we can support you.
So whether youโre looking to:
๐ Have a more peaceful home life
๐พ Get back to enjoying walks
๐ถ Prepare your pup to be the dog of your dreams
โฆ I canโt wait to help you! ๐คฉ

Our lovely guests for the weekend, plus Rosie! I love our job spending time with perfect pooches. ๐ฅฐ
As you can see, Finn is just as happy as we are that we have just passed our council inspection and been upgraded to 5 stars for our boarding services ๐๐
Hi everyone, we are now closed and will be reopening on the 25/09. Any messages sent to us will be responded to when we reopen. See you in a couple of weeks ๐
Hi everyone, just a quick reminder that we are out walking your dogs today but we are then closed until the 31st July ๐
Three pooped pooches ๐
I was absolutely gutted to have to say bye to this absolute lunatic yesterday. I've walked Wilson everyday for over 5 years and he's going to be missed. Good luck to Wilson, Mick Young and Hollie Young in your lovely new home!
Once again, I'm heartbroken at having to announce another of the original pack members has crossed the rainbow bridge today. Kip was cantankerous, stubborn and didn't do anything unless it was on his terms and we absolutely loved him for it. He once decided he didn't want to be out in the rain and proceeded to take himself home with me frantically chasing after him.
He was good pals with Winston and, for a couple of weeks, they were the only dogs I walked. He was 16 years old when he crossed.
Our deepest sympathies go out to Mandie Melhuish and Karl Melhuish, I know he was loved dearly and will be sorely missed. Mandie very kindly let me know earlier this week that he wasn't very well and I managed to go and have a last cuddle and say my goodbyes.
Run free you grumpy old sod, find your old mate Winston and you can roll in as much fox ๐ฉas you like without getting shouted at or having to have a bath. We'll miss you ๐โค๐
Out early to beat the heat ๐๐๐
We are heartbroken to announce today that Winston, the original Dogs About Town pack member, crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. His Mum messaged me to let me know it was nearly time and I managed to get there for a last cuddle with him before the vet arrived to help him on his way. He would have been 16 in November.
He was such a lovely dog and even though he was 9 when I started walking him he was just like a puppy. Not only was he the first dog I walked, he was also the first dog that I walked with Rosie when we had been working on her reactivity and he was there when Rosie went off lead for the first time.
A massive thank you to Moira Godbert Laird and her family for trusting me to look after him, it was an absolute pleasure.
Run free old man, you'll be dearly missed.
All our love,
Jim, Sarah and Rosie ๐ข๐
