Good Morning! Thanks so much for the love! I get the occasional jealous and bitter personal irrelevant comments that have nothing to do with my career, so it's lovely to get so many positive ones. I have no idea why some small-minded people have nothing better to do with their lives. If you have nothing positive to say, don't say anything, cos you are not making any impression, I just pity your state of mind and what you get out of it. Family friends or acquaintances are sometimes the worst at trying to drag your successes down. These are people who have never cared about me or been there at my lowest times or make any effort, but i will never throw hurt back cos I'm better and stronger than that. Luckily, it's a sad minority and my real friends and family, plus many who are not blood, are brought up properly and don't behave like that. I hope that when they look back one day, they will feel a sense of shame and guilt at how nasty they can be to others. My music sees me through and is enough always. Settled into my new home by the sea and finally started playing again. A life changing house move takes time, so I'm sorry for disappearing. Now i feel good and have the cool breeze and sun on my face, I can get back to work on the new album with fresh eyes # # #

Finally settled in my new home by the sea. It's taken a month or so but I'm listening to Steely Dan right now (Gaucho album) and can't wait to get in the studio over the next month or so ..inspired by many and ready to go again. Big loves # # #

Just in case any of you thought I was dead or had chucked in my music career, I've been busy travelling and finalising my relocation to the Kent coast so I can set up home and my new studio there. Sorry for the social media radio silence everyone! I've decided to move to the Kent coast and set up my studio there so am house hunting right now. I can have more space and finish the new album and do the things I love most! I will also have help from my new Boo who is an amazing photographer. So excited and it is all happening fast but my new songs are coming along well. Big love # # #

Sitting in a coffee shop after my holiday but on my walk there a few minutes ago it just came to me from heaven like most of my song ideas. 'Personal Paradise' will be on my next album. I don't care how many people who saw me writing and singing it just now think I'm crazy, this is how I roll.

Fantastic and much needed holiday in Korcula after 4 years. I love this place and will be back! Got some great video background footage that we can use in a future video.

Sun is here! The new album is being worked on I promise, when my health and 9 to 5 doesn't get in the way. Looking forward to having a less busy schedule eventually so I can do more of this. Big loves!

I heard a cool audiobook recently about s*x, drugs and rock n roll in the 60's and 70's, and it inspired me to write a song last night. "Will you Rock my World" will be on my next album. I started recording it today and it might just be the first track if it sounds as good when it's finished.

Great silly long weekend with my backing group (j/k) 'The Kings Roasts' named after the huge Sunday lunch we had, some more masseeeev than others!! I managed to catch an Eagles tribute band, jig to 80s and 90s pop funk (I still adore 'Lovefool' by the Cardigans), play John Mayer"s new 'Sob Rock' album for guitar playing inspiration and scribbled down some new lyrics. Friends matter so it was great to catch up and I'm thankful for having an arm to lean on with my ongoing eyelid problem. Being able to join in again and go out a bit more is something never to take for granted. Huge loveletts to all xx

Never mind 'Back to Black' I decided to go Back to Blond tonight, thanks to my lovely colorist. Just need my fringe cutting. Working on some new songs but it's slooow, and my illness hinders, so I'm brushing up on guitar and piano lessons. I may knock up a video soon for my song 'The Habit' as I always wanted to film in a graveyard.

Have a fabulous Christmas everyone, and thanks for the likes and loves. Just taking the trouble to say nice things and make someone's day is why I think we are all here. I borrowed this guitar for a live recording in London in 2015 and missed it as I fell in love with it at the time, it was so perfect to play. I mentioned it to a friend and he just said he never plays it and I can have it, so that feels like Christmas to me already! I will have to wait until around Easter next year to get it so it will be something to look forward to if I can meet up or travel again. It's a very well made rare limited edition made to order Chinese copy of a 6120 Nashville Chet Atkins. I think I will get some gold grover locking tuners fitted and new strings and I can feel totally Nashville again. I'm actually watching 'Nashville' on Channel 4 and I'm pretty sure Deacon Claybourne's orange Gretsch is like this one.

When it's this cold, it has to be my oversized blanket. Watching 'Nashville' box set and getting used to some new gear I will be using next week to start my next album. Hunker down everyone, stay warm, and support Ukraine until we are are all free again 🇺🇦

I couldn't get on with the phosfour bronze strings that come with new acoustic guitars, so i switched to these lovely silk and steels from which are a perfect compromise. Even when I was in regular gigging bands for years with calluses on my fingers I always hated bronze heavy strings, and as I have baby soft skin I can't wear leather shoes without socks either! . Never let anyone say you are a softie if you can't put up with the pain, it's nothing to do with experience, it's about loving what you are playing so you can give your best in your own way .

I'm not sure how other songwriters work, I've never asked any to compare notes. Here's some of mine and my list of half finished songs I'm working on using ny new equipment. I've progressed a little from scribble on the back of receipts, and post it notes.

Day 5 - yellowy panda eyes today but I'm healing. Still having spasms and that tires me out but looking forward to seeing the Doctors to talk it over some time next week. This was never going to be easy. For the first two years I saw so many doctors and was poked with needles and all kinds of blood tests before they finally found I had an incurable nervous system chronic disease. I was told I had to be persistent and do a lot of chasing up myself to even get on the treatment ladder so it can be improved and become more liveable. After nearly five years I'm still fighting and always hoping the next treatment will finally get me there. .
