I know a lot of trainers that wouldn’t

share the fact they eat ice cream with people

And I know - ice cream is not good for you

But I just had the most amazing day with my family looking around

And what better way to top it off the with a big old ice cream

I could go on about calorie balance and the fact I’d done loads of steps etc

But to be honest I’d had a great day and wanted a ice cream to top it off

Why not life is for living

If you want a trainer who’s going to tell you to eat chicken rice and broccoli everyday

Im not your man

🚨Client Success🚨

When Micheal came to us he had a massive cancer scare.

He felt unfit, unhealthy, no confident to come to the gym

Yesterday he just completed is 100th workout and is onto his second book

At Optimal we believe that to have success with your training you need to be consistent and that consistency leads to success in all areas of health and fitness

In this time he now feels fitter than he has done in years

Feels healthier, stronger and more rubbish due to his diet and training knowledge and plans

He also feels confident in his body and enjoys coming to the gym. (There’s more than just losing weight and looking in mirrors that can be done at the gym)

More than anything he feels like he is doing everything he can to stay as fit and healthy as he can be for as long as possible while still enjoying his life.

So a massive congratulations to Micheal for his success so far

When I speak to people about starting to train

The often say

I could train every day if needed

I actually think this puts a lot of people off starting

If you know what to do, you only need to train 3 x per week

For a max of 55 mins

Anymore and honestly

I think your wasting your time and energy

Plus (in my experience) your going to be bored of doing the same thing every day after a couple of weeks

I promise you

Train 3 x

Train well go home and live the rest of your life

Don’t get distracted by fads when it comes to weight loss!

Yes there are lots of things that can help

Fasting
Extra cardio
Sleeping better etc

However if you don’t have control of your calories none of this matters

Calories are king when it comes to weight loss

The rest is just the icing on top 🧁
